  1. i took the nclex 3 and half weeks ago and it took that long until CA BRN posted my official results. THe pvt is accurate! don't lose hope to those that are waiting after 3-4 business days, good pop = PASS!!!
  2. Thank you for everyone that responded, i just wanted to say that i did pass and it took 3 and half weeks until I saw my name on BRN.
  3. LenaRN22 i just wanted to tell you thank you!! Thank you for also responding you kept me going during that time =) 3 and half weeks later my results were posted. Not sure why it took that long but i did pass. Thank you, thank you. Wish you all the luck in your future!
  4. LenaRN22 thank you so much for letting me know. It means so much, I appreciate it:-) I've been reading and messaging people who have taken it in california and no luck in any responses... You made my night. I cried so much today thinking I was the only one that this trick didn't work for me. Thank you so much, Godbless you.
  5. Really? Thank you so much for the reassurance I've been going crazy. All my friends said they knew within 48-72 business days so here I am freaking out thinking I failed since it's been passed 72 hours now. But thank you, if you received your results after a week and half that gives me hope;-)
  6. Hi how long did you wait to find out your results? I also took it in CA and it's already been 4 days since Feb 3. Im still getting the good pop up. I'm really freaking out right about now.
  7. Please help anyone for those that tested for the RN NCLEX in the state of CA on Feb.3,2011 have you seen your name on the CA BRN? I tested on the 3, did the PVT 100x now and I'm still getting the good pop up but my name is still not on CA BRN. I am not foreign so I do have my social security number, my file is also complete ( transcripts, fees everything is done). I am just so worried and need any input for those that also tested on Feb.3 in the state of California who have gotten the good pop up.
  8. Thanks for the response I could only imagine what you were going through. I double checked by calling and my file is complete.
  9. Thank you I am praying everyday
  10. Hi everyone I've been So sad the last couple of days I really think I did not pass even with the good pop up. I've been checking the BRN and my name is still not posted. I tested last week on Thursday. I don't know what to do anymore :-(
  11. Ps study everything on QT 6 & 7 I felt the nclex reflected those trainers the most. Random questions however that's how my test was.
  12. I received a 63% however my Qbank scores were horrible!! Lol most of my QT were in the high 55's to 63's. Personally I think Kaplan was much harder than the nclex. it was a nice tool though:-) I answered 80 questions , no OB and peds which was a shocker since those two were my weak areas.
  13. Just believe in yourself I had a very hard time thinking I couldn't pass. You have to have confidence walking into that testing center!!! also do not postpone your test , set a date and stick to it. I wish I had taken it the first time I set the date, the longer you wait the less information you will remember. Especially s/s of medications! I was going crazy. Remember you graduated from nursing school that itself is a huge accomplishment you have the ability to pass this test and live your life again. you've taken it once, that's okay because the next time you take it you will pass! Study your weak areas and even if you can't answer questions.my friend gave me his R Guapz ? question book which helped me so much. It's called nclex in a flash something 24 hours. That book has alot of nemonics that will help you.
  14. Thanks everyone, I'm praying it works and I'm not the only exception to this "trick" the waiting is agony!!
  15. ABGs for sure , be able to identify the s/s when a pt is experiencing metabolic/ respiratory acidosis/alkalosis.
  16. I live in a state that does not offer quick results CA. So I called the BRN and was told I had to wait 4 weeks to receive my results in the mail. I also asked about checking your name on the BRN 48hours later but she said that is not accurate. Now I'm worried and freaking out. I tried the PVT 50x and I'm still getting the good pop up. For those of you that live in CA how long did you wait to see your name on CA BRN? does Saturday count as a business day?
  17. I just want to say thank you for the help, encouragement and just letting my vent on cyber space. I took my NCLEX RN this morning and tried the PVT and am getting the "good pop up"!! Hoping it's true....Anyways let me just say the TEST is not as HARD and difficult as we've all heard it to be. I kept rescheduling and crying, rescheduling and crying, crying some more because I thought I didn't have it in me to pass this exam. But if I can do it so CAN YOU! I graduated 11 months ago from school and took it for the first time. I studied for a month, everyday for 9-10 hours. I used Kaplan (the price for kaplan is stupid and expensive) however the Qbank and QT really helped me. I also used LaCharity and the study guide for NCLEX-RN EXAM by JoAnn Zerwekh. I personally loved this book compared to Saunder's because it was smaller and was so much easier to understand. The medications at the end of chapter also helped me a GREAT AMOUNT. All the medications I had today were from those chapters... Anyways I just wanted to say thank you again and I am SO GREATFUL for this site. Just believe in yourself and have confidence , God will guide you through the rest. Please do not give up, I know it's hard to study but you can do it!!! Thanks again everyone!!!! Also everything that was on my exam was not out of the ordinary, very common diseases and nursing interventions. So don't burn yourself out by learning about Pick's disease or Burgers and all the other rare/random diseases. Even if you had a question on one of those diseases, you will be able to guess the right answer. Nclex is not a tricky a test, there are two obvious answers you can eliminate right off the bat. I was driving myslef insane because of all the hype I can't hearing. Don't believe it!!
  18. Lavendar59, thank you! It does!!!
  19. Hey boogs what does the last sentence imply? Sorry I'm bad in math, so 0.75ml would be 1 min and 60mins?
  20. Hey guys I checked the problem and the last sentence says what is the pump rate? So I just divide that by 24 hours?
  21. I'm practicing my math and was wondering if im doing this correctly? Order 10 mcg dopamine, the patient weighs 140 pounds. Dopamine comes in 300mg/350ml, what is the IV rate? 140 lbs / 2.2 = 63.63 10 mcg / 1,000 = 10,000 mg 63.63 x 10,000 = 636,300 mg 636,300 mg / 300 mg x 350 = 742,350ml? I know this is incorrect, help please!!
  22. https://allnurses.com/nclex-discussion-forum/question-about-triage-120521.html Hey guys I read this post and got confused. Can anyone clarify? When in a diaster situation you don't chose the one with the airway problem? You see the patient who is able to survive first so someone who has a wound laceration? I am very confused.
  23. CCUer omg!! I would have died too!!!! Im not good at all with heart sound there's just so many!! I'm so stressed
  24. My friends who have used Virtual ATI for the nclex RN have said it was alright some have passed and failed using it. It really depends on you though... Regardless what prep anyone uses it depends on how much dedication and time you put into studying.
  25. LaCharity is very similar according to my friends who have taken the nclex.
