  1. jhodaki Congratulations on getting in to mhri. I am in the class ahead of you (2013), so if you need any info about school, living arrangements etc.. feel free to ask. My email is [email protected]. I came from out west as well (Utah) so I know how moving out east can make you a little nervous..
  2. SRNA13 Hey, email me at [email protected] and we can talk more. CCTRN
  3. Float means you do not have a home department, you fill in where needed anywhere in the hospital. Perdiem is just a pay status, you get payed a higher wage but do not receive any benefits like PTO. I personally work perdiem because I do not need health insurance and I like the higher wage. The hospital can take awhile to get back to you. I would call back within 3-4 days of applying so you don't get lost with the other applications. As far as which job status you apply for just depends on what you want and what are your needs. If you receive health insurance from your parents perdiem might be a good choice for you because it usually is at a higher pay rate.
  4. Alli, I am planning on attending since they were my first choice. I too think the time is going to go by way to fast. Where you coming from?
  5. I have not heard or seen anything about the other students. I will keep my fingers crossed for you, I know how stressful it is to wait for that letter to arrive. I almost missed my letter, the wind had blown it into my front yard and I only happened to spot it as I was pulling out of my driveway. The only reason I checked to see what it was is because I had just recently put my house up for sale and did not want what I thought was garbage in my front yard. When I seen it was my letter I about had a code brown incident right then and there. Lol. Keep me posted if you receive anything.
  6. Ibm5, Good luck, I don't know if you live in an apartment or a house but I would have someone check your front door. My letter was just placed by my front door and the wind blew it into my yard, luckily I seen it when I was pulling out of the driveway. Also, with this being Christmas week someone might see it and steal it, thinking it is something valuable, which it is to you. This might save you from sending Mark an email, asking did you send me an acceptance letter? Let me know if you receive anything and again good luck.
  7. Good luck on getting in. I will be coming from Utah. (going to miss the mountains ) Let me know if you get in.
  8. I received my acceptance letter on Saturday via FedEx overnight letter. Anyone else accepted?
  9. Has anyone else received their acceptance letters yet? I received mine yesterday from overnight FedEx and I am looking forward to meeting some of my new classmates. I will be coming from out west with my family and will not know anybody, so I thought I could get a head start with my future classmates.
