  1. You again? How come everything I post, you reply to in an ugly way? I thought this site was for help and education.
  2. You're joking right? People have gave me good suggestions and good solid medical advice on a subject I am unsure of. And I thank every one who has. I have a lot to think about given that this job is my livelihood and I have children to support. But these opinions of me....not welcome! I am concerned about my patient(s). I suppose I could NOT care at all. As far as I'm concerned, the subject is closed and I may very well take the advice of some of these people and act on reporting this. I'm NOT looking for hero worship. Case closed. Back off
  3. Just be nice. Hey so and so do you mind after putting mr. Patient to bed would you change ms. Patient? Most will comply. There's the occasional ones who will like to give you trouble but most of it can be handled with some conversation with the person... As a person... A willingness to help them if they need it.,,and food! Haha call me crazy but bringing a pizza to work with you (usually evening shifts) is a good way to let then know you care about them. Mostly though, just don't be a meanie. Good luck.
  4. Bless your heart. I went through the same thing with my instructor. She was horrid! Many of the students complained on her to the dean and NOTHING was done. She was free to destroy our lives as she saw fit. She failed some because she didn't like them and passed others bc she did. When they prob shouldn't have passed at all. Very unprofessional and to top it all off, she really wasn't that smart. I wish I had an absolute answer for you to make it stop but I don't. All I can tell you is this. M Stay quiet. Give her what she wants and he will move in to the next person and try to pick and fight. Just stay off her radar. And remember that it's not you, it's her.
  5. I don't recall her Saying it either. It was implied. Just bc you can give life saving care to a patient, does that absolve you from being a caring human being? I think that and nursing go hand in hand. I'm not going to let someone feel me up and down and I am going to protect myself from patients. But! If someone is coming to me when the "I wuv you" act I have no problem being a recipient of affection from another human. It's a beautiful thing. But that's my personal opinion too. The OP struck me as someone who views others as annoying. IMO nurses shouldn't be that callous. It all sounds very Nurse Ratched to me.
