Is it possible that the sliding scale orders are only for high blood sugar readings and that the carb ratio is used for meals? Like sliding scale for correction only and carb ratio otherwise?

What is the pay they offered you there? I am applying for camp jobs as well (in MA) and am curious what other places are ofering.

Hi! I am new to this board. I am a junior nursing student at a college in CT, but I am from MA. We are all being told that we should try to find internships this summer to gain experience. Last summer I was very lucky and had a paid internship at UMass Memorial, however they do not allow the same student to continue with the internship more than once. This means I am searching for an internship this summer. I really need something that is paid because I need to provide for myself... if worst came to worst I would look into unpaid ones but would also need a paid job on the side. So my question is: Does anyone know which hospitals in MA provide paid internships to student nurses, specifically for the summer? Have you had experience with any of them? Where would I go to find information about how to apply for these positions? I am also going to be looking in CT but would really like to spend my last summer before graduation at home in MA if possible (plus if I can live at home then I don't have to pay rent all summer...) If this helps, my clinical experience by the summer will be: 1 semester Psychiatric 1 semester OB 1 semester Med-Surg I would really appreciate any help/tips/hints anyone could give me! Thank you!
