  1. Wow...all I can say is WOW! No actually, I can say more...It amazes me how high and mighty some of you sound in regards to issues that weren't even in the OP's post. This has sadly become so twisted and far from what was originally asked. As just a lowly student, I got to say it's embarrassing to see some of you "professionals" behaving so UNprofessional. I'm learning a lot on these boards, and sadly some of that knowledge is how NOT to act after I get my license.
  2. The only way I know to "do-over" your GPA or grades is to retake the classes you failed or did poorly in. You may want to consider submitting your FAFSA for the next term and retaking your classes through a community college (cheaper), then apply to the nursing program you're talking about. I also suggest meeting with an advisor regarding your goal in nursing. I put that off until I had taken multiple courses I had deemed pre-req's in my mind only to find out I'd wasted time and money on some of them. Meet with them and set up a plan for you to acheive your goal. Good luck...
  3. I'm loving this post's responses! So many opportunities for nursing out there that I hadn't even considered...
  4. This is an old post so I'm checking to see how it went at Apollo/Carrington for you? I am starting (hope to) in March. My reasoning is that I'm older, this is a 2nd career and I can't wait 2 years to get in, all pre-req's are done. I've checked everywhere in Phoenix and this is the only program I can find where I can get in quick and finish it finally! I started the RN path right out of HS but life happens and your education gets put on the back burner.
  5. Thank you! I am 35 and entering my clinicals in March. I'm quitting my "career" for the last 16 years and moving in with friends in order to do so. After seeing all of the negative writings here I was beginning to wonder if I should rethink this. I've wanted to be a nurse since I was a little girl...so thank you!!!
