  1. Hey thanks for this post and thanks to the person who contributed this website because it is literally the only thing that has gotten through to me! http://www.rnceus.com/course_frame.asp?exam_id=16&directory=ekg
  2. Super helpful all you smart nurses!
  3. Luckily I've lost weight this semester- too busy to eat!
  4. I am surprised that no one else has been commenting on this thread since the last admission process, it's such a torturous waiting period!
  5. I hear ya, it's humiliating. I have been dealing with it for so long now I'm pretty used to it but even when I get rid of the acne from using harsh cleansers I then have embarrassing dry skin... then the scars... boo Clinique is pricier than I am willing to go right now, I wish I could afford them a bit more. Do you think it's really worth it?
  6. I wouldn't focus on one thing that you suck at too much though because you might forget something else! I failed twice now but in my college there are three opportunities. I have been working twd my RN for 2.5 years now between the prereqs and I am on the verge of a nervous breakdown! I can't imagine failing out of school because I really get so nervous during skills check offs. AHHHHH!
  7. OK- I had cystic acne when I lived in FL but since moving to AZ and using facial cleanser with salicylic acid religiously it has been clear for 3 years now. I have been in nursing school and under different stressors in the last three years. It hasn't been since I began my job at a nursing home that I have had an extreme fair up of cystic pimples. I am thinking it could be environmental--- more resident interaction, more infections, more bacteria= hello acne. Has anyone else noticed a similar timeline?

  10. Thank you for posting this question- I have the same one! I thought I had gotten the swing of it but my instructor told me that the radial and apical should be the same! I yi yi! Thanks for all the responses too!
  11. This was a great answer- I am studying for my first exam and needed to define the difference of medical v. nursing.... Thank you :)
  12. Hey- that is the 2nd letter I've received. It sounds promising! Maybe they have alternates come and fill out paperwork or maybe it means you have a spot...
  13. well if the link doesn't work do a google search for "facebook yavapai college nursing students" I didn't find it doing a Facebook search...
  14. I just wanted to share this facebook page I just found for YC nursing and pre-nursing students- Incompatible Browser | Facebook
  15. Well I don't know if this is true but I heard last year all the alternates were able to start the nursing program *(there were that many "declines"). I hope this is the case for you. I did get in with 82 points to Prescott. I have heard a lot of people upset b/c hearing someone with lower points got in and they didn't I really have faith in the YC point system though- it was designed to keep things fair even though I am sure it doesn't seem fair when you don't know why you weren't accepted!!!!
