  1. Congrats!!! So happy for you!! :yeah::dancgrp:
  2. Yes the excelsior ADN nursing exams went up from $250 to $275 on July 1st.
  3. Did anyone get a notice from excelsior by mail or email of the increase? What a shame. Everything is going up except the salaries. I barely have enough to pay my bills and now this.
  4. Definitely ask why a course was not accepted. I did this for one of my courses and it was accepted. I also chose the AAS because they accept more electives this route.
  5. You have to pay an additional $10 to have your transcript sent to excelsior. There were no problems with excelsior accepting the course. My eval was updated the next day with the course listed and all gen eds complete. Now I just need to do the nursing courses.
  6. You can register for the individual course online. I did it and got a B for the course.
  7. Thank you all so much for the support! :):heartbeat
  8. I took most of my LPN classes at a community college and the wait to get into the rn bridge program is fall of next year. Too long of a wait for me. Fortunately, excelsior accepted all of the gen ed courses and waived one nursing exam.
  9. May I ask what you used to study?
  10. Thanks! I plan to purchase the practice exams I know they will be a great help. I think I'll just go down the list and start with transition/rn role exam. I'm waiting on books ordered in the mail and can't wait to get started next week. If I focus I would like to be done with everything by dec. I'll have to check out the saunders book you mentioned.
  11. After applying to different brick and mortar schools and getting nowhere, I need some advice on how to get started with Excelsior. I've submitted my transcripts, payed the enrollment fee, and have my evaluation. I have to complete info lit, 7 nursing courses, FCCA and CPNE. Should I just work my way down the exam list? The information is a bit overwhelming and need some guidance on how to go about this. Thank you!
  12. Mine says the same thing. I don't think they would post the status if you were accepted online. Looks like this week will be very stressful for all of us waiting for the mail. Good luck!! :)
  13. Hi, I want to know if you pay for most of my Excelsior exams now since you have 6 months to take them, will I lock in the prices listed before it changes on 06/30/11? Is there a limit to how many exams you can pay for at one time? Thanks!
  14. Congratulations!!! :yeah::balloons: Very happy for you!!!
  15. I agree with Dawn, the few times I've called they've been very short with questions and just keep mentioning the deadline is when you will get a response. Nothing more.
  16. Thanks I hope I hear something soon. Good luck at CNR!!
  17. I applied to FDU for the Fall but no word yet. How about you? What schools have you applied to?
  18. Congrats on getting accepted! I won't hear a decision until the end of May for Fall. How long after you applied did you hear back from admissions?
  19. I applied for the Fall semester and contacted admissions who informed me that within the first two weeks after May 21st is when letters will be mailed out to students. No other information is given unfortunately.
  20. I feel the same way. Thanks and good luck to you!!
  21. I'm still debating as well. I've applied to a few schools but still no response. Others have said I would have to wait til the following Fall to enter. I have all my gen ed courses except info lit which I'm doing now. I simply can't til next year.
  22. Has anyone taken the ENG 103 course through Penn Foster? How is it? Was it easy to navigate? How long did it take you to complete the course? Thanks to all in advance.
  23. Yeah most scholarship money goes directly to the college so they get their payment first. Since you haven't heard from them yet, when do they disburse it to students in May?
