Hi Trilldayz, It's a shot in the dark considering these posts are kind of old, but I was wondering if you (or anyone else reading this) knows if the titles PCA I and II are the same as Nurse Tech I and II. Thanks!

Well Congrats! Which campus will you be on? I'm in Houston and I'm a first semester (J1). Txcatcher answered the questions very thoroughly, but I just wanted to add that I have pharm on Tuesdays 4-7 and Patho on Thursdays 5-9p. I originally thought the evening classes would be fine since I have historically enjoyed them. I was so wrong! It is sooooooo tough to have such clong classes. Tuesdays aren't that bad b/c that is my only class, but on Thurs I wake up at like 630 to be in Assessment lab from 9-1p! That's a long day. I live too far to go home during my 4 hr break so I am just stuck like chuck. It sucks. Not even gonna try and sugar coat it for you. Anyway, I'm on campus 5 days a week with an 1hr commute each way and I have Saturday clinical with pre-clinical on Fridays ( a no class day), so I have to still get up early and drive to Houston to pick my patient. Sigh! Oh well, so far so good. Just wanted you to have the whole pic. We all make it...well most of us?....so with hard work you will too! Good luck!

Hey guys! Man I haven't posted on here in a MINUTE! Well, I'm all set for next Tuesday. I've been bombarded with info from the 2 orientations and advisement, and one might think that I shouldn't have ANY more questions. Well that person would be WRONG! haha. Let's get down to it: Classes start next Tues. duh, My clinical day is Sat. When do I have to wear my scrubs?!?! I need to know if I shud rush order the or not b/c I don't have them yet. THanks

lol! i know right! Well, all this waiting and I can't believe that they still don't have out book list! There was some sales guy there (from Elsevier??) trying to get us to buy this "bundle" he'd put tgthr of all our books. But when ppl kept asking him for a price on it, he would just put up his hand and say "hold on, hold on. Let me see what I can do.." So, then I asked for his biz card so I could give the info to my scholarship service and he instead asked for MY email. haha! I mean, the whole thing was kinda interesting. We still don't have books and I still don't know where our bookstore is. LOL! I just have to laugh. We didn't get any advice on books either. So... guess we are on our own. Is houston letting me down?

OMG what peer-pressure! I mean Idk who you were RyanT (I still don't get this whole anonymity thing) but Jeez. One would think that since we are all students that the ones who'd been here done this would try to steer us away from the $$$traps. It took a lot to say no, but I did. I'm not talking about our frendz on here, but the ones there today. There were quite a few there who were whispering in our ears about what to avoid and what not. How did the Dallas crew do today with all the promotions and gimmicks?? I had an awesome day!!!

YOu guys are sO cute! I wish the Houston campus was more outgoing It's ok I guess. I know I was pretty dog-gone sleepy since I had to wake up before freakin day to drive an hour PLUS sit through 3 accidents :yawn::yawn: lol It was a productive day, though.

You mean for advisement day tmrw in houston? Well, we didn't even get directions to the campus and parking locations, so I doubt they expect a dress code.

whoa. That's intense. We had to do a PA to pass assessment, too, but it wasn't on a simulated dummy with like 300 problems that we had to figure out. We had partners and simply had to pull for different body systems and perform that assessment. I'm nervous about TWU, but excited at the same time.
