Nevada State College. I just checked webcampus and the grades were posted the class average was a 44.9/75 which is a 59%. I got a 43. That's better then I thought I would of done. I thought I was going to get a 30%. Thanks for the masteringbiology.com I'm going to look into it.

This is from my syllabus on the course description: Fundamentals of life science. Biology 189 is a survey of contemporary biology with topics including biochemistry, cell structure and function, genetics, physiology, evolution, and ecology. It is intended for Biological Sciences and Health Sciences majors and other students who require general biology knowledge as part of their professional career preparation.

I just had my first test in biology 189 today and I'm positive I did awful. I have read the chapters, I have gone over my notes, I even took the review sheet the teacher provided a week before the test and went over every question and wrote down what I thought the answer was and then went over it in the book to double check. I thought I was prepared and when I sat down for the test today everything that was on the test wasn't on the review sheet so I spent more time focusing on stuff I was told to study then other things. My question is, did anyone else do horrible their first test? What did you do to overcome it and do better on the next test? I dedicate a good hour every night to this class. Any advice or help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I transferred to NSC this semester but I'm still taking classes at CSN as well. I'm about to do math and I need math to take Chem. So After I finish math this semester if I fill out the authorization form and hand them my unofficial transcript it shouldn't be a problem? I want to take both chem classes over summer at NSC.

I wish I knew how many points they required for acceptance as well. I currently have 12/19. One for being a lab assistant, 10 for English, and 1 for my average teas score. I have been putting in applications for community service but as of now have been unable to find anything with spots open. I'll keep trying since we have till April to apply. Too bad gpa doesn't count towards points...

Girl you can do anything. I just had a baby 5 months ago, have a 3.5 year old, and work part time. I worked till 2 weeks before I delivered my daughter and went to school full time. I worked overnight though from 10-4am and then slept from 5-11am then got up and spent time with my son while I was still pregnant and took classes in the later evening. Some I was lucky enough to take online. As long as you stay positive and are focused you can do it. I did. Now my baby is born and I need to finish up a semester of pre-reqs and I'm all done and ready to apply. I also just finish take a phlebotomy course just so I could get extra points for the nursing program I'm applying to but also to gain some experience on what it's like to work in a hospital. My clinical rotation was 3 days a week 5am-5pm and I still kept my job on top of going to school. I still found time to do everything. My advice is stay positive. You can do it. You're a mom, you can do anything lol at least that's how I see it. Nobody is a better at multitasking then a mother.

This is what I had to do. My parents lost my records and when I went to the health district they had no records of me at all. I even went to school out here in Nevada growing up so none of it really made any sense. I paid money to get titer's done, you can actually do it through csn at a discounted price. The place they sent me to emailed me my results in a few days. It's much better then getting shots all over again.
