  1. What a sad but touching story. I know that family is so greatful to have such a caring person with them in their time of need. It's so amazing how you can touch peoples lifes and make a difference. This is too why I want to go into nursing. I look up to you and what you do and hope that one day I can give the comfort that you have. My God Bless you in what ever you do.
  2. I just wanted an idea of how they work. Do you stay in groups and go throughout the hospital? Do you just watch the nurses? Do they throw you in there and tell you what needs to be done and you do it? With first year students going in I'm sure you don't know much so how does it work? Do you do labs first then go? I'm just full of questions.
  3. I got my little girl to start using the potty right at 2 years old. I would give her her favorite candy everytime she went. I would give her 1 mm candy everything she tee teed and when she got that down pat I moved on to poo poo. Then she got the hang of that I would just give her five. Some how it worked.. She has not mastered it but most of the time while we are at home she uses the potty. Give it a try..
  4. I'm just going to look at it for hours, and then go blow it..lol.. Shoes, purse, some clothes for my girls. Maybe I'll take hubby out.:rotfl:
  5. I watched the show today also. It is so sickening that this is happing and so many people know about it. The fact that the punishment was so minimal that is makes me want to puke!!!!!!!! We can do something! How about we all write Oprah back asking for her guidance of what we might be able to do, to actually make an impression. I know that there are houndreds if not thousands that post on this site. Make a pledge that you will write and if we all come together we CAN do something. So I'm going right now to the web site to express my concern... NO BABIES BE HARMED!!!!!!! Please join in the effort.
  6. Right out of College. Where did you have your first job? Just to give me some ideas of what I might be able to do down the road. Thanks
  7. Its so sad.. I'll pray for the families.
  8. Has anyone out there been to law school after nursing? I was thinking maybe going after I get my BSN. Which is a long.................. way away. Just want ideas of what you can do. THanks
  9. I have a 2 year old and I used mm's to get her started first for tee tee and then when she got that down pat i told her that if she had a poo poo she would get them.. now she does not get rewarded with candy now its a high five.. but dont stress they will get the hang of it.. oh and i took diaper off and used panties.. she did not like the feeling of pee running down her leg.. Just dont let them sit on furniture with panties on..lol..good luck to you!
  10. Hi, I too have applied for nursing at CACC, and I'm already getting sick thinking about the PAX exam. I have been out of school for six years now and forgotten almost everything I learned...OH NO! The worst thing is the math. Maybe we can work together and make though....Email me and we will talk. Support is a wonderful thing and to know other people are going through the same makes it a bit easier.
