  1. I plan on doing some studying before classes start but orientation will determine where I spend most of my time. Right now I'm reviewing medical terminology.
  2. Hey guys I'm getting my BLS from CPRCert4U in Virginia Beach. It's only $50 compared to TCC's tuition rate of 150ish.
  3. Hey congrats everyone I got in cohort 2 also. I'm waiting to turn in my form when I get my ez pass sometime this week.
  4. I think we finish at the end of the Sumner 2016 instead of May 2016
  5. Does anyone know of a cheap place to get CPR I took it a really long time ago so I need to do it again.
  6. I got accepted for cohort 2 :)
  7. I applied for August but I wouldn't mind October. I hope we hear something within the next week.
  8. Only 2 more weeks until we find out, I can't wait any longer!!!
  9. Hey guys did you see that TCC will be offering an evening/weekend program in the spring. I'm definitely going for that if I don't get in this time. I have to pay out of pocket for school so this is a great way for me to keep my current job.
  10. And the 2 month wait begins! I might pull all my hair out waiting for this letter.
  11. Congrats I already applied to my ADN program but won't hear anything until the middle of May.
  12. I just applied and I got a 90.57 on my hesi
  13. As frustrating as it might be failing a class in high school won't hinder you as long as you pick the right program. My program doesn't look at any high school stuff except chemistry (they don't even look at high school chemistry if you've passed college chemistry though) and to verify you got a diploma. I would imagine CRNA programs won't bother with high school because they'll have all your nursing courses to go by except maybe to verify you got a diploma.
  14. I called the Virginia board of nursing that said it doesn't matter when I took it as long as it was in Virginia since 1980 something when they started keeping track of it. So all I have to do is take the written and skills exam.
  15. Hello everyone, I took a CNA class 5 years ago and am just now planning to take the test and become one in Virginia. When I took it I got an A, but ended up with a C in my Anatomy and Physiology I class. So I gave up on being a nurse. In the last year I realized I don't want to be sitting at a desk for the rest of my life and that I want to be helping people. So I finished the rest of my prereqs with As and just applied to nursing school. I need to take the written and skills test to get my CNA so I can work as one while I'm in school. I'm nervous because I haven't had any patient care experience since my class and I don't remember all the specifics. I still have my book so I was going to review that but does anyone have any study tips, especially for skills? Thanks
  16. So I just turned in my application today, the wait begins on the 15th! eyvis91 did you end up applying?
  17. Whatever you seem not to understand look up YouTube videos they helped also I used the Mcgraw hill nursing entrance exam study guide for math it was really helpful I got a 96 on that section.
  18. This is my first time applying I have all my prereqs done except ethics but I hope they accept my philosophy course for that. I just took the Hesi last week and got a.90.57 so I'm hopeful I get in!
  19. I submit my application on Monday. I am so praying that I get in this time around! I already scheduled my physical Dr. appointment for June :-)
  20. I know the info session is mandatory. Not sure what you mean about the course evaluation though.
  21. I felt like they tried to go into a little bit from each body system. Since you learn a lot of the systems in a&p 2 it is definitely helpful but if you get a couple of study guides you should be fine. It was just an overview though in my opinion nothing too deep.
  22. In my opinion it was easier to take the hesi after a&p 2. They asked a few questions from a&p 2. I got a 92 on that section.
  23. I'll have my bachelor's degree in another field in May so if I don't get in this round that will give me more points next time I apply. I also thought about retaking a&p 1 this summer? I have to pay out of pocket so Tcc really is my main choice. Congrats on the little one!
