  1. I worked 7 on/ 7 off for 4 months once. It was 10p-8a. It was pretty good because you get used to the routine, and then you have a vacation every other week. You are incommunicado from all your friends, though, the other week.
  2. I'd like to know which companies submitted these two offers. What a difference!
  3. I have had two in response to online applications. 1. a nurse recruiter emailed to set up a time, so I was prepared. 2. a unit director called me after I had just parked my car at the grocery store, surprise! Both took about 40 minutes. I enjoyed both experiences, but I liked the second better, since it was off the cuff. (I got that job)
  4. I remember feeling the same way when I transitioned from psych to ER. I had a great orientation (back in the good ole days) and supportive charge nurse. I had worse than a "look" given to me...flat out verbal aggression...which I now laugh about. Keep your chin up!
  5. Are you working in Hawaii as a traveler? I'm looking for ER positions, temporary full-time work. Lost cause at this time?
  6. Hi everyone! I've been searching job openings in all Hawaii hospital websites and see some listed as "continuous recruitment until needs are met"...seeing a fair number of listings. I'll start applying now even though I won't be relocating til spring! Luck to everyone!
