  1. i didnt need to know med math/ terminology either to get in to my lpn program. i just had to take the teas and the tabe which is basic math and reading. i went to orientation today it was great, and classes start oct. 25. so excited!
  2. I didnt need a drug test but they did make me have a background check.
  3. Well my school is in miami but at Lindsey Hopkins the LPN program costs about $5,000 and there's no wait list, no pre-reqs.
  4. this is what i'm planning to do! i'm starting my LPN program at Lindsey Hopkins in October and after that I'm planning to continue to RN in Broward College :)
  5. I'm really sorry about what youre going through, I think we've all had times when we feel misunderstood or had people talk behind our backs. Have you tried speaking to your instructors about how you feel? Maybe if you communicate with them you'll get things to change. I hope it all turns out well, hang in there! :]
  6. I just took the TEAS yesterday and I was able to pass with 80 on reading, 62 on math, and 85 on language (my school requires 70 for reading, 50 for math, and 70 for langauge) I wasnt able to study at all because it was a last minute thing, but although I'm horrible at math (i failed remedial math! lol) i found it pretty easy. its alot of basic stuff but the problem for me was shortage of time, so if a question was getting too hard i just skipped it and went back later. language was sooo easy for me, they give you 1 hour 10 mins to do the section and i finished it in 15 minutes. of course if i wouldve studied i wouldve done better but oh well! good luck! and remember if you already took the TABE then the math on the TEAS will be wayyy easier.
