  1. Hi I know this thread is old! However I'm starting this fall 2023 in the pmhnp core classes. It says hybrid. Just curious how many times y'all met throughout the semester and on what days? Thanks for any info you may be able to provide! I'm a planner and just want to have a general idea of what to expect! :)
  2. I agree. I've almost completed my second week of an ADN program. The first week I had several mini meltdowns, questioning myself but each day gets a bit better as u get accustomed to the change. Also, thorough planning and being organized takes much of the stress away...
  3. Call me emotional but your post made me tearey eyed. For some reason I feel if things will go wrong they'll go wrong during nursing school. My mother is sick in Canada and it's been a hard decision to continue to pursue this so reading all that happened to you hit home. I'm so proud of you for continuing on and making it. I also thank you for sharing your experience and giving a real account of what can happen. I wish you nothing but the best :)
  4. I received my uniform and I love the top. The pants for me BUT they aren't comfortable. Where did everyone get alternate pants from? I'm thinking to return them. I think I'm only doing the 6th boot camp bc I work days during the summer and don't want to lose out on the money.
  5. Ok I think I'll be ok actually. I'm also 5'6" but 140 pounds so the one size up should be perfect! I can't wait to try it on!!
  6. Hgnelson. Congrats!!! I'm happy for you :)
  7. Still waiting on my uniform. I am just hoping it fits. I got a size small for the top and bottoms.
  8. Ahhh perfect, thanks. I'll be cancelling the lab coat then I think.
  9. Did anyone purchase a lab coat? I tend to always be cold so I opted for one since I figured sweaters or cardigans weren't allowed.
  10. This is great information. Thanks so much for sharing it with us :) I will wait on the extra supplies until orientation bc I would hate to buy something I didn't need. The costs are already mounting lol thanks again. Can't wait to meet everyone !
  11. I did the drug test Friday and it was completed Saturday. I was able to see locations near my home when I went to schedule my appointment.
  12. Thank you for sharing! I will be getting a physical on Monday so we shall see what happens! Luckily I have health insurance so it shouldn't be too bad.... I hope! That 130 I wasn't expecting ?
  13. Just did my background check and had to pay an additional 130.00 making it $208 total bc I lived and worked in NYC ?. Glad to have it done tho....
  14. Where did u find this online option? I'm interested
  15. Wow that's crazy! I haven't looked at the site bc I was hoping to go into a store in sugarloaf mills mall to try on before I order so I got it right but I guess chances are they wouldn't carry meridys :-/ those sizes are bigger than I imagined. I'm usually a size 6. Hmmmmm doesn't even sound right to purchase an XS....O_o. I'm getting a physical and blood drawn for that on Monday I was going to bring my forms to show and see what's needed. Ive been tested for all these things before and have proof do I have to have it again? Sorry if that's a stupid question lol the only thing I haven't gotten is Hep B I think.
  16. Where were u able to try them on?
  17. Was going to do it onsite at a place I found thru American heart assoc. I didn't know doing it online was an option.
  18. My friend who graduated from GPC said that all the teachers teach different lectures so it doesn't really matter or make a difference what professor is listed.
  19. I read the one review on rate my professor that wasn't good. Maybe FutureGaRN15 can chime in :)
  20. I totally can relate! My computer is on it's way out as well. That's another expense :-/ good to have the CPR out of they way! I took a few loans out and I'm hoping to swing this and remain working part time. I don't want any more loans either.
  21. I am also taking public speaking. I'm taking it online. I haven't even attempted the list bc I am also trying to save for everything. I think I found where I will do my CPR but again just saving and will likely tackle that next month. How about you? I just keep telling myself, one step at a time lol
  22. No way!! you're definitely not alone :) we can be nervous together lol
  23. Extremely nervous :-/
  24. Hey thanks for this information. Was wondering how u knew it would be 9-1 after the first week? As it shows 9-3. Thank u!
