    Single Mothers back in school!!!!!!!

Gotta love us single moms!! My daughter is 9 and she is the most helpful. Im just finishing up my prereqs and she too is very proud of me. At first she was hesitant me going back to school, I'm on my second degree and she is used to me working full time while she's in school. It was tough for her to get into a new routine(which changes each semester), Mommy going from work to school then studying. But we always find ways to make time, that test can wait just 2 more hours. Moms are amazing that way, how we know when to put our children first. We've been running on lack of sleep since we became pregnant...this is no different. I love when she knows I am studying so hard for a test, and when I get her from "after school," the first thing out of her mouth is what I got on my test..and then I get a High Five!! SHE ROCKS!! Best of luck to all of you single moms!!

A/P II in summer with another gen ed??

Thanks for the encouragement. I think I can do it..these girls really worried me, Im a really good student and HATE to get anything lower than a B! Im doing good in A/P I right now..love it actually but I think its the teacher too, she really makes everyone understand the material. I figure its just 8 weeks of hell! haha. I can do it..I just am scared I wont get the most of it since its a quick semester.
  3. So the girls I go to A/P I are not taking II in them summer because they tried to take A/P I last summer, and dropped it, which is why they are attempting it again with much better luck. The teacher we have is amazing, she really knows her stuff and how to explain it. She isn't teaching in the summer. I have no choice but to take it in the summer because I have till Fall of 2012 to complete my sciences as I will starting the Nursing program that semester. So it's A/P II in summer, Chem in Fall and spring, the Micro next summer. Our summer semester is 16 weeks condensed into 8 weeks. Im so scared now because I feel I have no choice but to take it PLUS I was looking into taking either Sociology Family and marriage or a History prereq along with my A/P II. Am I nuts for thinking of doing this all in the summer? I also work full time and have a 9yr old. Any advice??

    Got into St. Xavier!!

Just got the news that I will start Fall of this yr. Just wanted to ask if anyone knows of their program. I did do a search on here to view other responses about the program, but I would like to hear current thoughts about it. Im so excited to start my SECOND degree..the one I should have gotten in the first place but hey..I decided to take the "scenic route." Just looking for any heads up on the program, I work full-time with very flexible managers and I have a 9 yr old, so just wondering the workload of a BSN program. I have most of prereqs already, only have some sciences left. I know it will be very very tough but I know I made the right move. Anyone in this program?

    Two Sciences in the spring?

So I have 3 classes left before I apply to the Nursing program...A/P I, II, and Micro. So I am taking A/P I and Micro in the spring and then A/PII in the summer for their 8 week course and the fingers crossed starting Nursing in the Fall. Do you think this is do-able...A/P I AND Micro together?

Microbiology with A&P I OR II?

I am working full-time until I get accepted into the program and I also have an 8 yr old. Thanks for all the responses..I did have good grades 8 yrs ago and I am taking a pre-req Psych class right now to kinda get back into the swing of things. But the A/P will definately be a change since it's my first science class in YEEAARRSS!! Im totally ready to study and throw myself into it but soo scared to take 2 at a time.

Microbiology with A&P I OR II?

In our school, you the "suggested schedule" only says that A/P I must be taken prior to starting the Nursing program, the rest (A/P II and Micro) is mixed into the other semesters seperately, along with your Nursing classes.
