  1. Hey i just found out thank god i did well in all 3-english and science but have to retake the reading. ahhh almost there. almost there.
  2. hey i took the teas exam version 5 this morning here in new york, and i just retook the reading and math. those are the sections that i had to retake because i didn't pass those two. i hope it went well, i think it did better than the first time but you never know with these exams. pray for me :) i took some of your advice on this and hope it helped
  3. to ginamarie: I actually got like a 60 the first time then a 30% the second time just because since I did well on the English and Science according to the school's grading standards, i just rushed through the english and science since i did well and knew it would be counted for. I took the exam the 2nd time through Pearson Vue the second alternate testing site for the teas and had a horrible experience with them. The place doesn't give you strach paper so I was given a dry eraser board instead and they never gave me the eraser so to make a long story short (too late) I had to ask the lady every 5 secs to bring me a new one and I ran out of time and didn't have time to finish the 2nd section of the reading and was forced to go on to the math. What tips do you have for me for the reading? Maybe I should skip the stories til last because that takes a long time? thanks for writing back.

VERSION 5 ALSO:::: Hey I wanted to ask you how you did so well on your exam. Congrats, that's amazing! I did well in the English and Science but I have to retake the math and reading. What's nice about the program I want to get into @ Adelphi Univeristy in NY is they have a certain passing score for each section, so I didn't pass the reading and math. My question though both times I took the ATI online practice exams and did well both times in the Reading and Math but when I got to the actual test, some of the questions were alot harder. Could you explain to me what strategies you took? Please let me know, I am retaking it the beginning of January and want to kick butt on those 2 sections, it's mostly the second half of the reading section that worries me. I mean I know there were 4 stories having to do with sleep walking, hibernation, migraines, and I think one more. How did you figure out the answer? did you read the questions first and then the story or did you read the story and then the questins, please help :) us future nurses or past nurses need to stick together. thanks!

I need help :) us future nurses or past nurses need to stick together. thanks!:redbeathe

Did you have some stories about sleep walking, hibernation, and migraines also.
  8. Please if anyone can help me or if they remember some of the questions from the TEAS Version V exam, for the reading and math section. those algebraic questions you had to translate were so hard. I got 2 of them wrong. Also the label and ingredients for someone who wants a natural juice but is concerned with low sodium and low calories, that one was hard...anyone can tell me what they put or if they remember those answers. I need your help. It's amazing how far one can get and then has to take this exam and bam!!!!
  9. I also am taking version 5 for my exam. i did well on the english/science but have to retake the math and reading. Yes the sample test def help because the questions are def similar in context but obviously different. good luck

I'll take your word for it, I just need al lthe help I can get. How are you studying for reding comprehension? 16. i hate math. alot of the math portion i felt were percentages and decimals and maybe 2 algebraic problenms...the reading comp is hard and difficult. screw it i am juts gonnar ead the book starting this week.
  17. well congrats. i need a certrtain percentage to get in to this nursing program and so far i passed the science and english but i need a 56 % for math and 61.9 for the reading comprehension. how did you study? let me know any tips thanks so much:nurse:
  18. anyone can help? any other books out there besides ati?? let me knoww i have to start studying for my reading and math
  19. hey everyone i got my scores but i did not do that great. i passed in english ande science. how did everyone study for the math and reading comp?? any books besides the ati study guide did u guys use? let me know please :) i havent started studying or reviewing fori t again wtihout seeing if there are other options out there. let me know thanks!
  20. thanks for your reply, I am taking version V not 3 or 4 and i took online test part a but not b. However, i thought maybe there would be a strategy book for the reading comp and can help you figure out maybe words or phrases will give away the answer because I don't know exactly which questions I got wrong and when you read a story and ask what the author's point or purpose, each person may have different way of interpreting the question and give a different answer so how do i know whcih answer is the best one? see what i am saying. math i just suck at and will def have to practice. How did you do on your exam
  21. the reading and math were hard for me anyone know ways to study the reading?????
  22. Hey I am new to this website. I am a soon to be nurse god willing when everything goes well with the TEAS version V exam. I passed English and Science but have to retake the Reading Comprehension and Math. Let's face it math is not my subject so anyone have better books besides the ATI study guide. Obvously i am doing something wrong if i did not well and i studied from the book. Those "what is the author's purpose" questions are very hard. any suggestions would be most appreviative thanks you
