Hi Grey Lady, I was wondering if you knew who I could contact regarding my computer for school. I called the IT department to ask them about Macs and they told me that each school is different and I needed to contact the school to see if I can use a Mac or not. Thanks!

Hi Grey Lady, I have three questions for you. In terms of registering to 304, there are two sections. I know you already explained that we have to take both, but now that I am registered for both, I have 19 credits (each 304 is worth 4 credits). Is this correct? My second question is when do we get assigned labs? I am curious and would like to see what my final schedule for the spring will look like. My third question is regarding our health insurance. Does it start as soon as we accept the offer to attend UMB? I have no health insurance currently so I'm hoping my new insurance will cover my visit to the doctor to get all the shots I need! Hi Grey Lady, Thanks for taking the time to answer all these questions. My question is--do we wear our scrubs everyday to class? I'm just wondering because it says uniform. Also, I submitted my deposit, but I forgot to send my confirmation letter so it's going to be past the two weeks (by two days). Do I have to worry about UMB taking my spot away? Also, what does the school think about Macs? I have a Mac and I checked the website for the PC requirements and it says nothing about Apple products.

Hi Grey Lady, I was wondering when we get our student e-mail addresses. Do we just use our own for now?

Hi Grey Lady, I got accepted, but I never received a phone call and I haven't gotten anything in the mail yet, so I'm a little worried. Should I call and ask to pick up whatever I need from Shady Grove? Also, what would you recommend for someone who doesn't have health insurance? Does Shady Grove offer students health insurance?

nope, i'm still waiting. i hope we know soon! spring 2010 class got very angry that they were taking so long to hear back from umb (they heard back around the 15th-20th)...hopefully they've made changes and we'll hear sooner!

Aren't we supposed to hear around November 1st? Or is that just an estimate, I would love to hear some good news on my birthday (oct 30). I'm sooo nervous!

Hi GreyLady, I am in UMCP finishing up my BS in Psych and I already fulfilled my prereqs; is it true that if i get a C in ANY class (no matter what it is) they will take back your acceptance?

For those of you who got into Maryland, is anyone willing to tell me their TEAS score? I'm taking the TEAS on Tuesday and I'm curious what the average is for the accepted student. Thanks! :)
