Thanks for letting me know, I got mine before yours at 5:30, so I wanted to know what letter he might be up to for my frind as my last name begins with an A. Wow you CT grade is amazing...My friend just text me & told me that Mr. S is calling back alot of the students that took the test on the first day & time, as he have had many complains for the first day exam, that studens was not explained correctly about the time. She was not able to finish the reading, so if there is a section that you did not complete & you took the exam on the fist day...the school is allowing you to finish that section...I took the exam on the last day

Its so horrible... that someone will call you & tell you that, when no decisions have not been made yet. So upsetting , I can only imagine how you feel, but on the bright side...you do not have to give up...still hang in there :)

Hi All, Now getting caught up ... was very Busy studing for HESI, took exam on Dec 9th @ 1PM, I passed. My class average I think was a 74. First of all Stole I am very sorry that you already head you did not make it in, I saw that you did apply at other schools. If you are considering give up Nursing....have you ever considered Respiratory Therapy, a friend of mine who also attend BMCC told em is she do not make it in, she is switching over to RT and she spoke to Mr S. already most of the pre-req are the same & it is less competitive that Nursing. So from all the other info I do know...I heard that the HESI balances that GPA, where in the past the GPA needed to be super high to have a chance, now the GPA is not all the focus and if you have a passing HESI grade you will be considered. As for the Critical Think, even though it is not factored into the overall HESI grade...I found out they do look at it seperately & take into consideration. I am so nervous and impatient waiting for to see if I make it in. Good Luck to Everyone :)

Savahna, I am sure it will work out for you; as you said keep focus and you know what you have to do in order to get it done so just try your very best...if it's your dream then I know you will do everything in your power to achieve it :) your hard work will pay off. I actually attended Citytech for my first college degree a few years back; it's a good college. I have many friends that did nursing there...started working after there associates and is now going back for there BA there. I plan on doing that as well, if I make it in to BMCC nursing program then I plan to go to Citytech for BA and if I do not make it in to BMCC then I am still applying to Citytech lol. Good Luck !!!

Hey KT2010, I will be taking Chem 121...it's listed as General, Organic and Biological Chem... The cem you took was it General Chem -Chem 118? Are you almost finish with your pre-req? What classes are you taking in the Fall?

Hey Dee, I could not agree more...I think that's one of the reason why the school takes FOREVER to list the prof. b/c they know students will avoid certain teachers. I know who will be prof for my Fall classes a few days ago...the reviews on ratemyprf is pretty bad...but I cannot switch and will just have to try my best...but at least I know what I will be dealing with Savahna....what college will you be transferring to? When you start at your new college, maybe you can request not to transfer the B or to have your new college remove it from your transcript and repeat those classes at your new school...if you can pull off B which is a good grade..then I know you will be able to get A if you re-take...I almost got a B in one of pre-req classes b/c the teacher was soooo difficult...but I was able to pull off a A-...a person I knew was not able to get into the program b/c she missed the cut off GPA by a little...she told me a while bk if her GPA is not good enough for BMCC then she will move on and she is determined to be a Nurse and will make it at another school...so do not lose faith :)

Hi Justbee, What's the name of your Chem book...the order of what you reviewed already sounds similar to my chem book. Also does anyone on this trend attend BMCC in NYC? Just curious to know who else is taking Chem 121 at BMCC this Fall 10 semester:eek:

Hey savahna I just found out about it last semester and I was bummed myself when a class mate told me she has been using for a while but now that I know about it I use it all the time...but in my case it have not proven to be helpful just yet to choose my classes b/c the college post the prof names who will be teaching the course at the last minute and if wait till then it will not have any seats left...but it still helps to know what to expect from the teacher...are you currently at BMCC or transferred out already?

Hey Dee, I actually use ratemyprofessor all the time, they just listed the professors that will be teaching Chem 121 on the weekends yesterday, I looked up the professor and they got mixed reviews...more bad that good. The colleges takes forever to post the professor who will be teaching the class, I think they know if they post it early everyone will take the good teachers...and now it's too late for me to change as all the seats are gone for all the weekend classes. Well good luck to you and hope you get into the Spring 11 program...I am sure you will :)

Thanks Dee :) Well so far I took Eng (A) Math (A-) and Psy (A)...so still have to take Chem and then A&P...I really hope to get A in those classes as well. I guess I am nervous because this Chem class is my first college level science class. My first college degree was in Business/Marketing and not much science was involved. Well school opens this weekend! Good Luck! Now that you're applying to the Spring 2010 evening program and just got done with your prereqs, will you be taking any classes in Fall 10 or are you finish with all classes and just waiting to be in the program? Starting a gen/bio/organic chemistry class on 8/28...very nervous....

Great tips...I just got done completing my CNA course work and starting the internship in 2 weeks...nervous as I need more practice with the skills before the board exam, I hope the Nursing Home will help me with hands on care. Also did any of you have to do BP in your state exam...I am having such a difficult time with BP...I was told the brand of stethoscope the school sold is bad so I am considering purchasing a littman to practice...any BP tips?

Hi Dee, Thanks so much for responding. I know my schedule now is crazy with work/school. I am two semester away from applying so i have some time...just wanted to get an idea from now. Your friend took APII and micro at the same time...I did not even know that was possible...thought u had to do A&P II before Micro (does BMCC allows that?) ...that does seem very tough and I will not do that, I was thinking of separating each per semester...so I will take A&P II at the same time I take NUR 112 and Micro at the same time I take NUR 211...and I hope to not be working full time at that time...so do you think it can be doable in such case...or still advise it will be tough? Thanks so much again for all of your insight :)

I also attend BMCC and currently taking my pre-clinical...trying to stay on top of my school and also work full time Mon-Fri ...I know this trend is a few weeks old so not sure if anyone will respond...I wanted to get some feedback...do you think it doable to be in the program and also still have to do A&P II and Micro...or would it be too much?
