  1. Hi, I graduated from the Philippines din. Did you have any problems having your credentials evaluated?
  2. Is anyone applying FT for the September cohort? I'm applying to Georgetown and Simmons. Still waiting for my transcripts to be evaluated since I studied overseas. I'm really hoping that my transcripts will be evaluated and be sent to the schools before or by the deadline. I'm finding that having my transcripts evaluated is the most stressful part of the application process. Also wondering if anyone has shadowed an FNP and how much weight it holds on your application if you've only shadowed them for 4-8 hours? Anyone applying that went to school abroad?
  3. This is not true, I graduated in the Philippines in March of 2010 and CA BON accepted all of my credentials. The key thing is that you research which colleges are accepted by U.S. standards first before enrolling to avoid any unecessary delays after.
  4. I passed! After taking all 265 questions that took me 4 and a half hours, I passed! To those who will take the exam soon the key too passing is hard work and determination, and understanding the "why". I would spend most of the time 8 to 10 hours or more a day reading. Sources I recommend are Hurst Review, I did the online review, worth every penny and it's so easy to understand, it's $300 though. And a MUST HAVE is LaCharity Prioritization & Delegation, if you buy any book to help you review, BUY THIS BOOK, I think it's about 30 to 40 dollars, but definitely worth it. Good luck guys!
  5. I took my exam yesterday and maxed out at 265 and took me 4 and a half hours to complete, came out feeling like a dog! Still have a headache and still feel like I'm in a daze.
  6. Bumped my exam date up a week or so, so I have a little bit more time, they say you just have to know the basics, pero it's hard to distinguish what's basic and what's not heh.
  7. Are you doing questions from the saunders cd too or just questions at the end of each chapter? Since I only have like 10 or 11 days left until my exam I'm mostly trying to get the most out of my Hurst online review, along with doing LaCharity questions. So many topics trying to figure out what topics are most important to focus on. Hirap talaga!
  8. I know that hundreds of people have probably already posted about asking for tips on the best way to review for NCLEX-RN. I graduated from a college in the Philippines and now that I think back on it, I didn't learn much from that experience except for how to take vitals signs, so whatever i learned there doesn't help me with this exam. Now that I'm back in the states and it's been approximately 1 year since I've graduated and I'm taking the Hurst Review along with doing questions from the Saunders 4th Edition cd, since I'm not working yet I basically study from the time I wake up until the time I sleep, for a few weeks straight, but have been studying on and off for a couple months prior to the intense cramming. My exam date is on May 9th and I'm so nervous i feel like no matter how much I review the information ends up getting lost somewhere when I go back and review it again. So i was wondering if anyone could give any tips as to how I should focus my review for the remainder of my time and what topics I should focus on that seem to come out most often on the NCLEX-RN without killing myself? Any tips would be greatly appreciated because I'm drowning!!! Thanks!
