  2. I have some of the same questions.. I plan to attend Watts as soon as I am done with my pre reqs. I just applied, so I am awaiting a word from them. I am taking my pre reqs at State because wake tech's classes were all full by the time I could register. How did you get the A & P class? are you signed up to be an ADN student? As for watts, what is this aptitude exam like? I hope to be taking it soon. I've heard the classes are like military school. Have you heard anything else? Have you been conditionally accepted? By the time I am done with my pre reqs I would not be able to start until Fall 05 or spring 06. I wish you all well.
  3. AshleeCMA, I know night school maybe a little difficult, but I know Durham Tech has an LPN program that is offered in the evenings. I am in CNA school (evenings) and I plan to work on weekends while I attend school during the day. How much different is a CMA vs CNA? Have you thought about working in a hospital? They have 24hr daycare and they will reimburse you for school. I know of these programs in the triangle area. My husband watches the children while I am in class, but there are ladies in class with small children and they have evening sitters. Some also work in the day also. I hope this was of some help to you. I hope things work out for you.
  4. Where do I go for nursing school?? I already have a BA in Poli-sci/Pre-Law, and I want to know what is the best school for me to go to. I have researched each and is still unable to decide. Watts-good clinicals-no so long waiting list-very expensive. 3 pre-reqs UNC-CH/Duke-excellent schools-not so long waiting list-very, very expensive 4 pre-reqs Durham/Wake Tech-very long waiting list-good schools- clinicals @ Duke/Chapel Hill/Wake Med-inexpensive. 2 pre-reqs If i plan to become a charge nurse, possibly MSN, I want to keep my options open. But I do have a family to think of. What to do?? help!!!:rotfl:
  5. Hi, I am in CNA school right now. I am really excited because I actually love going to class. I have 3 small children, 5, 4, & 1. I will be taking my pre-reqs this fall and hope to start non-nursing courses by Jan. I know it will be stressful, but the reward will be tremendous. I plan to work weekends and take classes during the week when the kids are in school/preschool. Where do you work? (hospital, Nursing home?) I want to work in a hosp so they can reimburse the nursing school. hope to hear from you soon, lee
  6. Congratulations!! I cant wait until I am in your shoes!!
