  1. Thanks everyone!! My old statistics and psychology transferred. And, I was able to find both Nutrition and Human Development offered by a somewhat local community college here in Missouri. They are both online. Will have to decide about the lab classes by next semester.
  2. OMG!! I did a paper on this in college.
  3. Let me just say that as a mother of a child who has a rare disease...THANK YOU for not trying. I interrogate everyone before he/she sticks my child. We had a bad experience once and that was enough. My DH was just in the hospital with a bunch of new nursing graduates. The rule is try twice and then get someone else. I was just about ready to scream at the insane number of mis-sticks.
  4. I'm trying to pin-down a prereq class to take this fall. I'm a little nervous about the proctoring. I live in small town rural Missouri, so there aren't a lot of options. I have mobile wireless internet that I use on my laptop. Can I just take my whole computer to the library and have the librarian proctor my test? There are a couple of library computers there, but I really don't wish to sit there while people come in and out. Plus, the librarian is very chatty. If I use my own laptop and internet connection, I'm sure I can seclude myself in the backroom for the duration of the test. Also, how well do the schools check out the proctors? I really don't want to put anyone out with the whole proctoring thing. I don't like to be a pest. I have a relative who is a teacher. I was wondering whether I could just hole-up in her classroom and take the test. I know relatives aren't really allowed, but cheating isn't my thing. Thanks!!
  5. Have you seen a nutrition class at edukan.org? I've looked through all of the sections, but no nutrition. Wondering whether they might teach it in the spring instead of fall. Thanks so much for the info!!
  6. Thanks everyone...I think I may have found a couple of classes to get me started within my state. They are online. Although, the seemingly best school requires proctored tests, which I was hoping to avoid.
  7. I'm jumping in with both feet and want to get the ball rolling. I'm a 33-year-old SAHM of a three-year-old. I have a Bachelor of Arts (Religious Studies) and Bachelor of Journalism (Magazine Design) degree. I want to start knocking out my prereqs and enter into a BSN accelerated program when my daughter heads off to kindergarten. Here's my question...can I complete all of these prereqs entirely online (without having to visit a campus for tests)? I'm open to enrolling in online courses from any good, accredited college/university from across the nation. I live in rural Missouri and am having a hard time finding exactly what I'm looking for locally. Prereqs: Anatomy and Physiology I with lab Anatomy and Physiology II with lab Microbiology with lab Nutrition * Statistics General Psychology (Already fulfilled.) Human Growth and Development (across the lifespan) * * Most interested in these two right now. PS - Will I be looked down upon for taking online courses? And, would it be odd for me to take classes at various schools?
