I am in the same boat too. I have been looking for a nursing position since April of this year and now we are in October and still nothing. I have filled out so many application from the Florida Panhandle to the Florida Keys and the only thing I end up getting always is "not hired" or "not selected" or "sorry, we have pursued other applicants" I have my Bachelors in health Science, and my associates in nursing and many years of working at a private medical office but to the hospitals it doesn't mean a thing. I even tried nursing home, medical/physician's offices, dialysis centers, jail/correctional facility but they all prefer 1-2 years experiences of acute care. Well, to get that acute care experience I need to work in the hospital. And how can I get in the hospital if I keep getting the rejection email. I even willing to try to work as a tech in the hospital, but of course I get the denial response for that too. I just wish I knew how I can beat the system and work my way into getting my foot in the door, even if its just for an interview. If someone out there have any other suggestion or know of a hospital hiring, please feel free to let me know.
