  1. I just started the AGNP program at Walden. It is going well, about to finish the first 2 courses. Is there anyone doing the program in the Dallas, TX market? I am considering taking one class next term. Must every one make a B or better to pass through the program? Thanks!
  2. Wow, thanks for the love guys. I have been looking into this and the feedback I have gotten so far was that most medical spas favor female nurses over male nurses for injectables. I have called around and all 4 spas in my area only have female care staff members. I called the school offering the injectables course and they said it is not impossible, but most places prefer a female nurse as well. So I was just reaching out on this forum to get some personal experiences from any male nurse doing this(get his perspective) and also reach out to the female nurses as well to see if they have any tips. I`m not sure why there seems to be an "issue" with my forum question!
  3. Hello fellow nurses and nurses to be, I have been a nurse for about 4 years and an RN for just a year in ortho rehab. I am interested in getting into injectables and Botox in the Dallas/Plano market. I plan to open up a medical spa someday after I finish my MSN. My question is are there any guys out there doing this? Is it a challenge for men to work in this part of nursing and how to patients receive this? How do I break into this line of work? (I`m currently in orthopedic rehab). I am comfortable with needles and have a background in sales and communication for years. Any job openings or ideas would be much appreciated.
  4. I just started with technical writing and professional nursing. I wish I had/knew someone in the class to group study.
  5. Hello guys, Just wanted to update your guys. I took the boards again and this time passed it with 90 questions in 2hours. I credit my success to the AHEC review and HURST reviews. They all prepared me for the EKG, SATA and critical thinking questions. HURST REVIEW was a life saver.
  6. Checked again today and its official, I failed it. I had the worst case scenario of mostly cardio and cardio related questions. I just enrolled in a review class in L.A with AHEC and will start studying next week to slay it the 2nd time around.
  7. Hello gang, I just failed the RN Nclex and studying to take it again, I`m wanting to figure out if you typically get the same topics/type of questions that you messed up. Most of my test was on cardio and diabetes insipidus/ADH. Just wondering if I need to become on expert on these two topics or spend more time on other stuff.
  8. Not good, I started out strong and then it got rough...30-40 SATA, tons of meds, no calculation 6 EKG strips, 2 drag and drop in order and 3 pictures. Most of the questions were on prioritization and infection precautions. The test was long and I kept praying not to stop at 75. In the end I stopped at 206 and ran out of time. Still feeling calm though but now I know I failed it...Having a not so good feeling about it. I just bought a MasterCard gift car as suggested by someone on here to try the Pearson vue trick and it said my card declined - ' The payment was declined. Reason: Contact your credit card company or use a different credit card." And that is the bad popup. So I guess its back to the drawing board, study, re-register and get ready to do it all over again in 45days. Will check again in 2 days once the quick-results are avail, but I am not holding my breath at this point.
  9. Thanks! I have studied my butt off and hoping it all goes well. Good luck to you next week.
  10. Been studying hard all month long and now its time to test. Was nervous all week, but relaxed and chilled yesterday. I went to the movies and relaxed all day. I test in a few hours and I am still very relaxed not sure if I should be nervous. Haven't told anyone that I`m testing today though. Will update you guys once I finish. I`m hoping to use the Pearson Vue trick once I get out oft he exam...hope it still works. SHould I be worried that I am calm and relaxed even though I have a major exam in the next couple of hours?
