Fall 2011 Los Angeles County College of Nusring
I just called and they say the letter will not be sent out until june. Man that is way too long of a wait. My score is 83 so I don't even know can I get in or not. Is like at the edge. So worry. Citrus accepted me but would like me to take the TEAS test again at their site next week which is when I am 38 wks pregnant. I don't think I can take a 4 hours test at this time. I should just pass on it but...I can't make a decision. Any one would like to give some comments?

Citrus College ADN
I am also wondering about the program. I got accepted for fall 2011 but then when I checked their NCLEX grade, they only had one person took the test last year. It seem a little scary. Anyone that is a student at Citrus please post something so I know how the program and instructor is. Thanks

ADN, bachelor or master degree?
I just went online for cal state LA, fullerton and Long Beach, all three school will not accept bachelor to bachelor degree. My only option now is take the Entry level Master program which is 3 years at CAl State LA or just do the Associate degree. The master degree is like 50K, it seem to be so much money. Sigh...Maybe I should just do the associate and go out to work then come back for my master. What is the options for an associate degree to go into bachelor or master? Do anyone know?

ADN, bachelor or master degree?
I have a bachelor degree and would like to go into nursing. I know there are 3 ways into the program, the ADN, bachelor and master degree. As for the ADN there are always a waiting list (I live in LA). As for the bachelor degree, some school is not acceptant bachelor degree student to get in due to budget cut. As for the master degree I think only some private school have it. My question is if I get a ADN now, would it be easier to get in bachelor or master program when I am working as a nurse or you guys think I should just go straight to the bachelor program. I know some of the private school have it for example Mt Saint Mary. Any suggestions you guys could give me. I feel like I could be in any of the 3 but what is a better outcome for my future. I would like to get a bachelor or master in the future because it will expand my career path more. But then I also hear that the hospital will give you money for a bachelor or master if you work with them for a certain amount of year. Is that true? Hope I could get some help from you guys Thanks

Don't know if nursing is right for me.
Thank you all for all your suggestion. I will try to get a volunteer job at a hospital to see if I could handle it. I feel that if I put my heart into nursing I could handle it but I do agree that I will need supports from my family. I really hope I could handle it. I will start to sent out application after fall 2010 with all my prerequisite done.

Don't know if nursing is right for me.
Hello, I would like to get some recommendation from all the nurses and potential nurse. I am interested in nursing because of the job stability, flexible hours of working, good paid, and I love babies. I did some research and know that it is really emotional draining. I would like to know the process of nursing school. After you get entered into nursing school you will be studying nurse courses and also hands on practical in hospital right? As for interning in hospital do you get to pick your field, I would like to be in the newborn area. I don't know can I handle all the blood, intestines, broking legs or head...etc. I don't know can I deal with all of these in the ER. I know there are so much potential in the nurse field, I could be in research or bedside later on but what I am worry is the process of becoming a nurse. Some of my family member also suggested sonographers (ultrasound technologist) but I just don't really like all the repetitive work. I feel that nursing is more challenging and more good for my future when I am bore of one area (eg. newborn ) I could go to a different area. I am going to be 30 and with all the waiting list for nursing school and the prereq. I think I will finish in 5 years. My family also said that I am a quite depress easy person so nursing is not good for me. Any one that have experience please HELP... THANKS Cloudy
