Travel jobs offered...low pay
I have got a job and a wireless phone company at yahoo before. FAVORITE STAFFING, Fidelity pays up to $42 dollars per hour. Some of them won't post it. If you apply to a staffing agency until you pass test like I did through Fidel. they will not tell you salary. However a nurse that was working through this one call A plus she was an LPN making $42 dollars per hour.

How did you know you wanted to be a nurse?
My family always called me a little doctor. I just think I wouldn't ever go as far as being a doctor, maybe a physician assistant, but I don't know if I could handle going to school for 10-14 years or longer!

Good thing it's something you're good at and liked because school is expensive and would've been a bad let down if u spent all that money and went through all the training. Good Job though!

Right or Wrong?!?
This was a pediatric unit so I didn't know if there were different rules but I now know it's illegal to mess with feeding poles if you aren't a nurse. The blind leading the blind! And yes it is full of drama. I am just glad I stayed out of it. Thanks for you opinion!!!:)

Travel jobs offered...low pay
I've heard of some travel nursing jobs offering $10,000.00 sign on bonus. It guess it would just depend on the agency and relocation. I know I wouldn't mind $10,000.00:yeah: Also I heard just for LPN's they would get $42 per hour.

Dont want to get anyone in trouble

How did you know you wanted to be a nurse?
I just want to hear accomplishments and roads you took to become a nurse or are taking to become a nurse? What made you choose the profession? What was the hardest thing you had to do to get to where you are? Was there a person who made it easier or harder for you? Also, what would advice would you give to someone on their way to becoming a nurse.

Right or Wrong?!?
I worked in this place where there were many CNA's and Nurses on one wing. Of course most were women and it seemed like they never got along. I remember this nurse who seemed to show favortism to some CNA's and pick on others. It's kind of hard to explain but she would let some go on breaks and others not. She would go out and smoke with them 10 times a shift, and it made me gag when they all walked in. She would yell at the same CNA's everyday for not plugging in nebs but if one of her CNA's forgot she would just blow it off. The CNA's would also treat the CNA's with disrespect and talk bad about other nurses to this nurse. I was just wanting everyone to get along or hold their tongue until they are off shift. She would also let some CNA's touch feeding poles and set them and I know that isn't right. I reported it, I know CNA's aren't suppose to be touching that stuff because they could seriously mess up a persons feeding. I didn't want anyone starving!!! I didn't know if I was right for reporting it at the time because they DON didn't act like it was a big deal and I never heard anything about it afterwards. Was I wrong? I honestly don't think I was but if you could voice your opinion via my thread then thank you!!!

can infants drink water?
Infants don't need just plain H20 when that age. I know that water is too thin at that time and they can choke if they are little enough. Breast milk or formula should be just fine for a baby up until they are a year old, but I started giving my kids half juice half baby water when they could hold they're own bottle. I was always worried about them having just water and peanut butter. I don't think anyone wanted to be around me when my kids were so little. I know that when my daughter was first born she was cranky and they gave her sugar water. I was upset because they didn't ask me permission. It was probably just hormones but I was young and still upset me. Just thought i would include that!!!

Fever question
I think it would depend on the age and mood even. Body temperature can also fluctuate throughout the day and night and even throughout the week atleast 1.0 degrees. It also increases after you eat and when you are sleeping. I don't think I would worry about a temperature that is only a slight higher like a degree but if it kept rising then that is cause for concern. It also depends on where you are taking it.
