  1. Please contact me [email protected], I have been done with fcca for over a year, and still haven't applied for CPNE because I looked at the material, lost motivation and changed my mind and was going to go to traditional school... change in plans due to a pending divorce and I am going to give Excelsior, and myself, the shot we deserve. I need a study buddy, maybe together we can tackle this thing!! I am in Killeen, TX, hope to hear from you!!
  2. Congratulations!!! I am looking to test soon, so any study tips, or info is much appreciated!!! My email is [email protected]... Good luck on the nclex, and God bless!
  3. Congratulations and good luck, I am right behind you!!!
  4. Funny thing is, we both failed the last test and had to redo... now we are in FCCA together... but I trust you won't make the same stupid mistake I did, lol. Maybe we can prep for the CPNE together?
  5. Yes I have to wait for the grade to post, and then I will reregister... 8 weeks behind!!
  6. This was by far the easiest exam I have taken through Excelsior, I felt so sure of the answers I selected... but SLAP MY FACE... I got 41/60! Needed 42 to pass! I think I know where I went wrong though since each of the next ones contained the answers I *thought* I put previously... At about question 55 I happened to look back to make sure that I clicked the answer I wanted as, I was stuck between two, and my answer moved all the way down to the last one (which wasn't what I selected)... I am using a laptop and was using the arrows to scroll down the page to the next button and low and behold, it moved my answer cursor too.... STUPID, STUPID, STUPID me... I don't know how many I actually did that to, because I seriously breezed through this test in 50 minutes because I was so sure of the answers... I am so mad at myself, and I still have to do multidisciplinary teams test since I enrolled in both at the same time... now back another 8 stinking weeks! GRRRRRRR.... End vent!
  7. The minimum they will shorten it to is 30 days, and the wait to speak to an advisor for the "tutor session" on the phone is 2 weeks out... I tried to get in last time, because of my circumstances, but had to wait, good luck though, I know you can do late registration. ..
  8. I fought for an early retake date on LS3, and didn't even use it lol, but now 62 days after failing my first LS3 with a D, I passed with a B!!! Woohooooooo!!! On to FCCA!!
  9. By all means write them... if we flood their emails they have to act... I emailed them twice nothing yet, threaten to contact the news. ..
  10. You started FCCA in the end of October and finished both early December? How? I thought it was 8 weeks long?
  11. You got C's too? I have 3 C's and the rest B's with Excelsior... with the exception of the one I failed today with a D (hoping for a waiver for next week, since FCCA starts then), and now have to redo- I will get atleast a B because I was off today (me sick, hubby deployed, son got out of 4 day stay at hospital Sunday, and daughter sick today)... but I see you have been accepted in a FNP program, I was worried these C's are going to stop me from getting in anywhere else~~ Congrats, and that is encouraging!!
  12. I too am actually using the post 9/11 gi bill... I have completed all tests today (even though I sadly failed it with a D), and it has only taken away somewhere around a month and a half. They only bill you for the days you are registered for an exam til you take it, so the key is to study with study guide and then register when you are ready and test within the next couple of days... it is possible!!
  13. Congratulations, that is awesome! I skipped th BON and wrote the governor 3 times and have yet to hear from them... I have lost hope in that state, but with all of us reaching out, maybe we can get some help.
  14. Your point might be valid if you said that they should require a certain amount of precepted hours or experience, but not based on simply because of where I graduated... the fact that prior to 2003 they accepted EC grads, and the fact that we can work at federal institutions completely invalidates their system... I am a resident of CA, and they're in it to try to get money for their state. That, or pretentious people who want to feel superior are on the BON. Is that you? No reason that they should be able to license a LVN and a RN, who take the same NCLEX everyone does, soley in their state. It's about money which is why my home has lousy healthcare, and is darn near bankrupt.
  15. I believe it is http://www.bartonline.org or bartonccc.edu either works
