  1. Thanks so much for those pointers!!! It's nice to hear that someone survived that first year! Are you working during the program? If so, how many hours and what kind of work do you do?
  2. I knew about the clinical schedule, but my boss hasn't changed my schedule yet so I'm still on 5 8-hour shifts. Are you an online/hybrid grad?
  3. I wasn't really surprised at how early it was, but more that it was on a Monday. I kind of figured that they would have realized that most people who would be applying to the online program would have full time jobs and thus, a Monday orientation would be difficult. Nonetheless, I'm going to do my best to be there. If you don't attend on that day, let me know what their alternative is. I'd be curious to see if it would be a weekend date, which would save me 8 hours of leave time at work. :) I look forward to a long and grueling 2 years with you! ~Paula
  4. Hello All, I just wanted to see how many people had applied to CCBC for the Fall 2011 term online/hybrid program. My SIMON account has the seat fee applied and it says SHP Accepted, but I haven't gotten a letter yet. I'm assuming I'm in and just wanted to reach out to my class mates early. :) Has anyone gotten their letter yet?
  5. I'm finishing up my last prerequisite on July 18th and will be applying after that! I can't wait to actually get into a program too! Are you applying for the traditional or the online/hybrid?
  6. AACC doesn't look at anything but your Pre-Req GPA. Go to the Nursing program orientation (it doesn't take long, just an hour or so in the evening) and that will answer a lot of your questions. When I went they said they take 72 applicants per semester and take in-county applicants first. A bunch of people asked about previous degrees, work experience, etc. and they made it very clear that they don't care about all that. I'm finishing up my pre-reqs there and applying to CCBC for their online/hybrid program in the Spring because AACC only offers the RN program during the day. AACC is a great school, but doesn't really help the working adult in that regard.
