  1. Congrats!!! try to get all of your vaccines and papers turned in just so you have it done, but it is not required the day of orientation they do give you a little time, but you will not be able to do any clinicals without your vaccines. Make sure you keep copies of EVERYTHING you turn in. They lost mine and several other students this semester and we were scrambling to get it back to them before clinicls started. Good luck!
  2. Hi to all of you oldies out there. Any suggestions for us 2010 students?
  3. This is my #1 problem, trying to decide which would be better traffic wize. Does anyone know what time classes are held in the medical campus and the homestead campus? Are they pretty much early in the morning, mid day or afternoon?
  4. I am sooooo confused as to what would be best. My husband works for the city of Miami Fire Dept. and his station is right next to Jackson. He leaves our house by 6:30am and makes it to work by 7:00am. Not a bad drive at all, but my concern is that what it I have classes that start at say 9:00am. The traffic would be HORRIBLE:uhoh3: Does anyone know what the schedule is like? I have applied for the generic full time. By the way I just wanted to say that I think it is wonderful how those of you who have gone thru this, graduated already, and/or already a nurse and working come back to this site to help all of us newbies out:yeah: I thank you!!!
  5. Hi Ra-ma13, thanks for the reply. I was under the impression that the homestead campus no longer offered classes for the nursing program. I am going to call right now to figure this out. I know you can't post any teacher recommendations on this site but if you could email me at [email protected] and give me any advice I would really appreciate!!!!!!
  6. Hey out there!!! I have applied for the August 2010 full time generic program at MDC. I also heard about the new changes for January 2011. I think it will help a lot of people who may not have such a good GPA. I currently have a 3.85 and with three children, ages 8 months, 3 and 13 years old I would love to push it to January but I am a bit unsure of the new TEASE test that they are going to be giving. So I figure I will just take my chances and start now. I am a bit crushed though that Baptist is not issuing any scholarships for the August term. I will admit that I am a little nervous about doing the classes at the Medical campus. I live next to Baptist so the drive to the Medical campus will be Does anyone have any advice on the teachers and or classes at the Medical Campus? Please let all of us "new" kids on the block know.
