  1. I honestly don't remember Update: my former cohort members informed me that Hesi wasn't implemented during the course of our program...we didn't have to take it
  2. Hello! Drew is no different from other schools, what you get out of it depends upon what you put into it, cliche, but it's true. I didn't really have a problem landing a job out of school and neither did a few people from my cohort , however, from my experience. .a Masters degree works against you. Just be charismatic in your interviews and you should land a job ...it also depends upon the saturation of the job market for RNs. Even before that, focus on the curriculum. .network and you'll be fine. Good luck
  3. I graduated in June with my entry level MSN. Its for people who hold previous Bachelor degrees with no prior RN experience
  4. I wish some of the people who went through this program before can give us some advice
  5. Any speculations on when this program will start?
  6. I am anxious to see how this process works. From previous posts, the process seems quick.
  7. Im in the front, first row, forth person from the opened door. I see a guy in a checkered shirt in the back row
  8. Im here. Im wearing black pants and shoes lol. Who else is here?
  9. I'm not a nurse yet, However, from what I understand, the training you received holds alot of weight-especially in the department from which you received it. I would put that experience on my resume and find a creative way to explain what happened while not disclosing that you were actually fired. There are many words in the English language and if you arrange them perfectly, you wil get the most of this world. And if that doesn't work then revise your resume and omit that part. Good luck!
  10. I'm thinking jeans, t shirt, tennis shoes
  11. What do we wear for orientation? I want to wear jeans and a t-shirt BUT we have a Deans luncheon... should we wear interview clothes again?
  12. OP, I totally get what you were trying to do with this post. I can see why some may be on edge but IMO, your original thought/message/intent was clear... Its meant to be fun!
  13. Depending on what state you're in you can do an accelerated MSN program too. I also have a BS in Biology and I just got accepted into an EL (entry level) MSN, RN, CNL (clinical nurse leadership role). Sorry, I can't answer your other questions...
  14. excuse my typos & short replys. I'm on my phone
  15. I wasnt able to register for the classes where clinical rotations were the co-req. I was only able to register for two classes. It is great that its not lile UG.
  16. Of corse I didn't print that page. I did write the info down so I wil try that. Thanks! I sure wish they gave us the health forms earlier. My two-step TB test won't be completed until the DAY of orientation...and that was with rushed appointments.
  17. How did you register for classes? I followed the instructions in activating my account but I cant because I dont have a User Name. Or maybe I'm overlooking it? Where did you find your user name? I tried my email and that's not it.
  18. Hey MS1988 One email was to notify me that the 100 bucks was received. Attached was the orientation schedule. The other email had the health forms that I needed filled out from my physical, I got another email but neglected to read it as of yet
  19. I LOVE red hair! I'm thinking about dying mine (I'm black) but I dont want it to be seen as inappropriate.
  20. I finally got my info packett. I wonder if they did the background checks yet? I did have a ticket that was wrongly issued and got dismissed. I think it shows up on the background
  21. Hey! I doubt they factor in race. Doing so would be a crime. I think its because the school is one year old, at least. Its possible that the people that applied to the program are either from the area or have family/friends who are closely associated to the area
  22. Thanks hardworkpaysoff, I will call them monday to check on things. Layleebug, Cedars is nice but I hope they reopen drew trauma center soon
  23. That's great that books are included. Totally awesome! If I get enough loans then I just might not work, as I'm in a position to do so. I wonder if they're sending out orientation notifications based off interview dates. I interviewed july 11th
  24. I didn't get an email about orientation yet :-( I wonder if anything is wrong
  25. Yes layleebug it is (plus I factored in my UG loans). There are a few programs out there in which the hospital will pay 80-90% of your loans if you work for at least 3 years in an undeserved community.
