I think it's going well! A little overwhelming. Organization is key! A quiz this week already, and assigned 2 presentations, but hopefully getting a good study group going! Of course, my response may change by week 3! LOL

Need help preparing for the Hesi A2 Entrance Exam
I wouldn't call the HESI easy, but very do-able. The nerves will get you every time, just take a deep breath and know you can do it! I do suggest the HESI study guide, I found it extremely helpful! I remember some vocab. came right out of the book! Don't sweat the A&P it was pretty basic. Good Luck!:)

I had a little trouble finding out how to get the personal medical record started too. I did get the book Using The Electronic Health Record (it was recommended) and on Page 180-184 it talked all about PHR (personal health record), I'm assuming is the same, it shows what to include in your PHR and I found it helpful. Also, page 375 in Fundamentals book lists some different websites to try. Good Luck All! I hope this helps!:)

The nurse pac is $89 and it contains IV tubing, catheter tubing, an IV bag and various other stuff needed for labs. I was able to see one that they had behind the counter. It's all wrapped up and not for sale. LauJen, if you decide to rent books for HHSC class, I did notice that the same books for the HHSC class are used in the 1100"s courses.

I don't know about the scrubs, but anyone having any luck getting a personal medical record going? I'm not quite sure what it is, but I was hoping there was some sort of outline of one or template you could follow.

Hi Kim, No it looks like I was approved for $1750, but because I'll only have 6 credits for the fall I only get $1000. Sucks big time! Personally, I feel I get very little help at financial aid. I was told to look elsewhere if I need more. Since books alone are over $700 and my classes come to $730, I'll have to pay the difference. I"m happy to get any help, but it's really making our family budget tight!

No I didn't get anything yet. I finally got my financial aid loan on Fri. I was sweating that one! Today I'm off to sign the papers, I might call the bookstore too. They didn't have any of the books yet last week. I"ll check into that. P.S. I did get the physical form from the nursing office because I had an appointment with my doctor, it was only a pretty basic form, it did list all the titers and shots needed, not much more. I did not get anything for shots done in the office because it would have been about $800 out of pocket! I think I'll do titers at Concentra and shots at the health dept. I would like to see some paperwork come first though!

I did the same thing. I tried to buy the books for HHSC and they told me try next week. I just was nervous with all the assignments to do that I thought I should get started on the reading. I'm trying again Monday after I meet with Financial Aid.
