  1. It takes practice to learn how to communicate with patients, esp. I use to be a quiet girl, but it just takes time for your confidence to build up. You'll soon be comfortable around your patients the more you interact with everyone.
  2. any tips on how to study the medications for the NCLEX??
  3. I graduate in December from a BSN program. I was thinking of joining the military. Can anyone tell me which branch is the best for nurses? (Incentives, areas to work in, etc..) And what are the pros and cons of joining the military? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
  4. I have the Saunders and I like it because it has rationales to the answers.
  5. thank you ryan8!
  6. Where did you get your HESI book?
  7. Yes, I have the same feelings about the HESI. I'm pretty nervous about it cause our class has to take it at the end of each quarter.
  8. Thank you so much for listing all those sites!
  9. Thanks for the heads up!
  10. I graduate in December as well. We have to take HESI exams at the end of each quarter and then an overall HESI exam at the end before we graduate. I heard that HESI is harder than the NCLEX. I have the Saunders NCLEX book that my school gave us. They said to use that to study... Any other suggestions on how to study??
  11. Thanks Nickilaughs! Good advice!
  12. Hi! I'm from Sacramento but got in a program in CO. I plan on moving back there to work (hopefully). Any advice? How did you go about looking for new grad programs?
  13. I hear you on that one! I completely agree with you on everything.. I feel the same way!!
  14. Stay in the program. Its not a guarantee you'll get into another program later or closer to them. You're in it now, and I'm sure you've worked really hard to get into this program. So go for it. There's always ways around money and all that other stuff.. How often does this kind of opportunity come along?
