  1. Wow, that is pretty awesome and exciting. I may ask a Lt Col (AF) I know, or maybe a Navy Captain I know.
  2. I believe this page will give you a fairly good idea about the fitness requirements ( The New Air Force Fitness Test, Effective January 1, 2010 ). I'm a dude, and gonna be at COT in march as well. But I'm not a nurse haha, I just hang out at these forums cuz its a good resource :)
  3. You will be required to go to Commissioned Officer Training (COT) at Maxwell AFB in Alabama which is for 5 weeks. In terms of bases, you will be assigned where you/your specialty are most needed, so it is pretty much at their mercy. That being said, you have a decent chance of getting stationed at a place on your dream sheet.
  4. I've stayed at the la quinta on carmichael road before (there are two of the same hotels about 100 feet from each other, just go to the right one haha), its a pretty decent place, very nice and clean, and cheap! Pratville is pretty nice, I really loved jim and nicks bbq :)
  5. As far as watches, a recent COT grad told me a digital watch with a lap timer would be the best.
  6. Thank you midinphx!!
  7. For those who recently graduated from COT: Question for you: I am heading down to the graduation for this months COT, and wasnt sure about a few things. My friend said they have a graduation on one day and then a parade on the last day, but wasnt too sure. If you could just mention how graduation and all that was for you, I would much appreciate it. Also, any recommendations for hotels in the area, car rentals, etc? Anything would be helpful, thanks!
  8. Same here. Being in limbo sucks. -___-
  9. Interesting. I just sent out a trial email to see if that would work, I certainly hope so! Thank you for the info!
  10. I seem to be having the same problem as well, my recruiter's email address seems to not work (everything bounces back), and no one ever picks up the phones (have left multiple messages). I needed to get back to her about some paperwork issue so my paperwork could go to the board, but I have no idea if it got resolved and I have no way of getting in touch with her. Pretty frustrating.
  11. I am sorta in this situation as well, and I can certainly empathize, its difficult not knowing whats going on, and being afraid whether or not the choices you are being given are the right ones to make or not. I am also interested in a question that was asked and wanted to clarify it, if no one minds. Is it possibly to change from no bonus to getting the bonus at COT? or would it be only before going to COT? thanks
  12. Question for you, if I wind up with a 3 year contract, and then wanted to bump up to a 4 year contract (to get the bonus), could I do that after getting to COT or the first base they send me to? Is that possible or would I have to have everything totally worked out before being commissioned? thanks!
