Nclex RN September/ October 2010 study athletes
Hello everyone! I'd like to join this group too. Lots of encouragement is good. It gives you a feeling of fulfillment. I am a foreign trained nurse too. This will be my third take. My first take in 2004 and second take in 2006 was tough. I was working 12 hours a day. I only had a few study hours and I depend on my stored knowledge from school. Well, it didnt work! With much frustration, I procrastinate, put NCLEX RN aside and live life simple. But this NCLEX keeps taunting me. To date I have 2 siblings who graduated BSN as their second profession and had passed NCLEX the first take. They both have good paying jobs now too. I'm happy for them, absolutely! My parents just tend to compare me to them. Worst, they call me to mention my siblings accomplishments/ what they have acquired, etc. Its annoying! discouraging! And makes me feel inferior. So I try to stay away from them as much as I can. See what the NCLEX exam has done......hhhmm On the other hand, at present, I have a 2 year old boy and I'm a stay home mom. Its not easy to study around him. So I take every opportunity to study and do some questions whenever he is asleep. Also, my husband needs my help. The economy has made his job very unstable. If he loses his job we are doom! I really need to jump in to help. Nursing - healthcare jobs are recession proof jobs now a days. We need to pass, get a job and support our family. So passing the NCLEX RN is very crucial for me now. I have to buckle down, get serious, concentrate and really study well. Also, we have to stay positive that we will ALL pass.....

I, myself am on my 3rd attempt. I'm nervous & freaking out. I'm hoping that ALL of these crazy feelings about the exam will be over soon. Thank you for giving me more confidence to face the NCLEX. To register for the NCLEX or not?
Hello everyone. I asked myself this question for a long time. Is it practical to register for the NCLEX before I'm ready-prepared? I've wanted to take the NCLEX for the 3rd time but fear failing again. I told myself I should be totally ready before registering. I feel its taking too long for me to be ready though. What practical suggestion can you give me. Please I need your advises....

How to reapply in NY state for NCLEX-RN retake?
Yes, all we have to do is register in pearson vue. I called the board of nursing of NY sometime ago to find out what needs to be done when one needs to re take the nclex-rn exam again. The lady simply said that I need to register in pearson vue then wait for the ATT. She said our application is valid for 5 years. After 5 years we then have to reapply again to the Board of Nursing of New York.

nclex - i can do it !
Hello everyone! I'm new to this site. Just registered actually but I've been visiting this site a lot for sometime now. I love reading such encouraging, upbuilding words from everyone about their NCLEX experiences. Such encouragement has given me the courage to study for the NCLEX exam once again. I am so thankful I found this site. Just the right site to be.... I always wanted to study & take my nclex again but just didnt find enough support & encouragment. I failed nclex twice already. I've been procastinating to study for a long time now. At one point I told myself to simply switch career but NO, I decided to stick to nursing. Its just this one exam I need to pass so badly. My frustration of not passing is still hanging in there. Such frustration intensified when 2 of my younger siblings passed their nclex the first try last year. And now both are working and earning well. To add up my frustration my parents say I need to step down to NCLEX-PN if still cant pass the NCLEX-RN. What a frustration! With this site, I know I will make it this time. This site has given me a positive attitude. I have planned ahead to study as much as I can. I'm looking at the month of June to take the nclex. I need to pass now. Also, I'm doing this for my own family- my son & husband.
