  1. Hey ashden. I'm sorry it's taken me so long to reply to you, this last summer semester is keeping me busy. First of all CONGRATS on your acceptance into nursing school. Welcome to Darton! As far as preparation goes I say honestly enjoy the time that you have now. Not meaning to scare you, but your entire life is about to change. Diving into nursing school takes a lot out of you so being mentally prepared is a GREAT start. Other than that there's not much more you can do to prepare yourself. Good Luck, and YOU CAN DO IT!
  2. For fundamentals I say read, and start asking yourself "why". Other than that it's pretty straight forward. Be sure to practice lots of math problems. Pharm is just memorizing meds and what they do, how they're use... etc. Summer is intense because of the time. Be ready to learn and learn fast. You can do it! Good Luck!
  3. Congrats to those of you who got accepted to Darton. Welcome to nursing school. I'm a current senior in the program. (I finish in July!) As far as the workload, I'll be honest its HARD, but doable! Take great notes, be ready to really THINK, and make friends ASAP. Very few people survive nursing school trying to do it all on their own. Good luck! If anyone any questions feel free to ask.
  4. I had a 67 TEAS, a 3.6 GPA, and all my prereqs are done except for a computer course
  5. I got my acceptance letter to the Hybrid program today in the mail!
  6. I know this has nothing to do with the topic, but I am a nursing student (I should graduate in 2013, my degree is taking a little longer than usual) planning on joining the Air Force after I graduate. I have a really good GPA now and I know I have plenty of time to worry about this but I like to plan things early. I have read many posts and just wanted to know if there are any tips you could give a future nurse?
