  1. Having done home health in two states I find it surprising that you would consider 30 miles far. Most home health easily do 100 miles a day. While agency's try to keep you within a certain mile radius there are many times other needs arrive. I have never heard of an angency not giving a full discription of the patient, their medical problems and any family situation and their location. Maybe as a new grad you didn't know to ask the agency how far from you was the patient--as a seasoned nurse you become better at thinking "is there anything else I need to know before making a decision" regardless if it's medical or personal related.I hope you have atleast called to apoligize for your inappropiate behavior.
  2. As an ER nurse we know not to send pain medication scripts to any of our inmate patients. Oral antibiotics are all our prison's will accept
  3. setphid, i'm new to correctional nursing and am surprised that there were so many to interview. I though CN had a greater shortage then hospital nursing
  4. Being an old ER nurse and working with officers next to me, do you find you have enough security when seeing potential dangerous inmates?
  5. I am a 33 year nurse who had gone back for her RN. This site has been suggested by our instructor. I am use to working with officers from an ER position in a bad area of town. Do you find the security the jail offers sufficient?
