  1. :yeah: I am soooo excited!!! I FINALLY got my acceptance letter to Grayson County four days ago!!! I am on the waiting list for Spring 2011 but guaranteed a spot for Fall 2011, because of my position on the wait list I have a good chance for spring 2011 and I am still required now to proceed to mandatory orientation. Soooo happy!!! This goes to show NEVER give up hope and to keep trying to apply for your dream! :))) Good luck to all on your dreams too! :):)
  2. well, I am bummed I did not get accepted this time, but will not give up!! I only had 24 points and needed 26. I did apply again for the spring 2011. Good luck and hope I see you in the future at Grayson.
  3. Grayson County,Tx Anyday now!!!! Good luck to all, for our future of great nurses!!!! :):yeah:
  4. Congrats on the points! Lets hope we get in :) This waiting period is so hard. I need to take my final transcripts up next week by the deadline on may 20th. Are you taking your fianl transcripts? Again Good luck
  5. Hang in there!!! I know how you feel, I was also put on the wait list for fall 2010 at Collin and told to repeat a class I had a B in to get an A. I say apply at Grayson, or did you allready? I have a couple of friends in the program now and love it!!! I also was met with smiles and encouragement from Grayson, which I never got at Collin anytime. I think it might be a blessing to be pushed towards Grayson. I have been told from several people the drive is worth it!!!! :)
  6. It is hard knowing you are on the wait list. For me, I had a back up plan and applied to two schools and considering the LVN program for 1 yr and then bridge to RN. Just don't give up!!!! Keep trying and you should be in soon.
  7. Are those the classes that Brookhaven specifically request students to take for there nursing program? I am taking History 1 and General Nutrition. My plan is to get my BSN after I graduate from the ADN program, so that is why I am taking these classes now, while I wait to get in a program. Well, again good luck!
  8. Most of the time when I have asked a couple of friends allready in the program; the points that others had to get accepted does not matter anymore, since they are allready in. 20-23 points is on the average, so not sure. As far as how many total have applied, only from what other people have said in the past, so not confirmed is about 150. Are you taking other classes right now? If so what college are you at?
  9. Congrats!!! Good luck in your Journey!!!
  10. Hey, don't get discouraged yet! Still apply, 20 points is still good. Have you looked into Grayson LVN school, you only need A & P 1 and 2 and the deadline to apply is June 10th. At least you can get your LVN (1 yr) then bridge over would be much easier than trying to get into any ADN (2yr) program. I have a friend doing that now. She also loves the program there. Keep your chin up. You can do this!!!!
  11. I know what you mean about taking all of the prereq at different schools and what they require. You can spend more time taking all of the different classes, not to mention all the money for the applications/transcripts and entrance exams. I had to pick two/three schools and leave it at that, which all three had the same class requirments, except for about two classes. I am on the waiting list for collin, but to get accepted there I would have to retake two classes to get an A from a B. No Thank you!!! Better chances at Grayson!! Great, Great Program
  12. The letters should go out after May 20th because you still need to summit final transcripts by that date, if you are taking classes now. I am out of county as well, so I am also missing those 2 points too, but have 26 points. Good luck for both of us!!!
  13. Let me add also that I have a couple of friends in the program now and they love it!! The instructors are very helpful and nice. Wonderful Program, highly recommended to me.
  14. hello, I applied also to Grayson RN program for Fall 2010. The general reply back on the question and answer sheet from Grayson is 20-23 points to have a good chance of getting in, but each semester it varies on what kind of applicants apply. There was another link on here that said last year one person got accepted with 26 points and here friend got in with 24 points. Hopefully that helps. Good luck too!!! Lets hope we both get in!! :)
