  1. thnx for the reply, is what you mentioned applicable to any country? im a registered nurse here in the philippines with different nursing exp, clinic nurse(1 yr and 5mos), hospital nurse(2mos), volunteer hospital nurse(1month), industrial nurse(5mos and going up), and was qualified to work in singapore not as a staff nurse but as an assistant nurse. this is due to the reason that i only have 2 yrs which is qualified for the assistant nurse position, for a staff nurse they require 3 yrs working exp. do you think grabbing the opportunity is a good decision?
  2. hi Guys, Its me again, just want to ask you something bout the difference of the following position; assistant nurse, health care assistant, nursing aid and care giver? thanks for your responses
  3. i had also attended a panel interview before, as far as my memory is concerned they first asked me about everything written on my resume, then they asked me about how do i resolve conflict in any situation. then they will jump into clinical questions. you just have to be honest and humble in every answer you will make.
  4. but is it a good career path despite that where i am right now has low job opportunity in hospitals?

im sorry, but i think there would be no school which will accommodate students who are on there 4th yr. but you can still try. by the way, how many months is her pregnancy now?
  6. "Are you talking about dental hygienist or dental assistant?? " Are there any differences between the two positions above with a dental nurse? i want to know what a dental hygienist usually does and how much they earn
  7. Does anyone know the duties of a dental nurse? and also how much do dental nurses earn?
  8. i totally disagree for what your supervisor had showed, your supervisor should have said, you have to make an IR to explain the incident. remember our world doesnt rotate on nursing skills and knowledge, we should also be knwoledgeable about jurisprudence. IR is a legal document lets you voice out everythng that happened, even the incident your supervisor had shouted out at you, that is considerably unprofessional. initiate to make an IR and address it to the unit manager or anyone more superior next to your supervisor. it is your right to voice out your side.
  9. wow! i didn't know that it would take a lot of experiences and expertise to become one. thank you MBARN08!:)
  10. Hi guys, This is my second thread. just want to ask, will it be ok to become an infection control officer even if your a nurse? your responses will be greatly appreciated.
  11. Thank you merky and meg11 for your responses, your responses are big help in my decision whether to pursue in sleep tech position or not. by the way, God is really good, i was contacted by the first hospital, established here in the country where im residing, regarding my application to them, that i will have my interview on 13 of this month. please pray for my passage. one more question, should i inform the company that called me for the position of sleep tech to cancel my interview, or should i attend the interview?
  12. hi guys, im so sorry for the confusing links indicated above. here's the edited one. "hi guys, just a newbie here. just want to get some advice from you. since there is a rare opportunity to work in a hospital here in the country where i live, i am currently working as a company nurse, i grabbed this chance due to salary and benefits that you can have from this nursing field. but i have realized that money is not enough to make people in our profession happy. i am scheduled for an interview on april 8 for the position of sleep technician. ive decided to apply for this position because i know i would get more learning experience from this job, and also i believe i would get more job opportunity abroad if i have experiences from different field. and besides, id like to become diagnostic nurse. if ever they will give me job as sleep tech, should i grab it? or would remain as company nurse where my nursing knowledge and skill get stuck up due to sedentary nature of work a company nurse has. your response is greatly appreciated guys. thank you very much.
