"SOmeone may go entirely by what they read on here and not investigate any further... they could miss out on great oppurtunities." I think when you get advice you need to use your own judgement to determine if you agree. Anyone who would not investigate on their own is only doing themselves wrong.

No. Plain and simple.

I am considering doing my BSN online. Are there any RN's here who have completed their BSN online? I have done alot of research, but having a hard time deciding which school. I have talked with Chamberlin College. This school offers a fast track program that would take about a year full time to complete. They are accredited, and say they have a good reputation. I think my biggest worry is if it provides a good education since it does not take that long to complete. I would have about 11 classes to complete. I just started doing research with Clarion University. 2 years full time. I have not had an evaluation done, but looks like about 21 classes give or take. Probley would have to buy a new computer also. I would love to get done in a year, but do not want to take the easy way out if Clarion offers a better education. Any thoughts or suggestions?

I would not assume they are trying to get rid of you. I believe they are trying to help you gain experience. When I started my job I oriented 3 1/2 weeks on days before moving to nights. Hang in there and keep a positive attitude!:)

A nurse I know works at a nursing home. She had two pts. with the same name. When one of the patients passed away, she called the wrong family to inform them of the death. After she realized what she had done, she called that family back and apologised over and over. Needless to say, she felt like a real dumb%$#. The family was not happy. I have had many moments myself. Hang in there and know you are not alone. :)

I agree with everyone else. How hard is it to pick up the phone and get the order? It protects everyone involved.
