  1. Dear all, I would like to start a simple study about needlestick injury among healthcare workers in hospital. Does anyone have any questionaire sample? I would appreciate it if someone can help. Thanks...Please mail me if you could help, at [email protected]
  2. Where I'm working, it seems that there's always opportunities for incident reporting...Needlestick Injuries, falls, patient absconding..etc.etc. I guess it helped in investigations and improving healthcare system. Take heart though, filling in the Incident reporting sometimes does save someone from law suits..
  3. Lucky for you, you still got to work at another hospital... I guess for me, it's either resign soon after my unpaid leave is over, or get to work at the miserable place... again!!
  4. Hi Roanne, We were also facing the same difficulties the first time we did SSIS. Then, one day, we make friends with one of the junior general surgeon. He was excited about the whole thing. From then on, it's done by General Surgery department (from printing of the SSIS forms and tracking of the patient on discharge)...The forms were really simple too. All yes/no...type.They gave us feedback on the SSI rate monthly..Hope this helped.
  5. You handled the whole thing calmly! Thank you for sharing...Hope you're okay after the burdens have been lifted off the shoulders. I came across similar female patient 8 years back, although older (50 years+), she's a sickly lady with chronic diseases who would just shout "Nurse, nurse... Ooo Nurse.." in the middle of the night!! Which would stop only if you stay by her bedside...and forget about other patients. Hmm...
  6. Hi! Thank you again ! Here's my e-mail: [email protected] I can also be contacted via the facebook;just look for Pauline Angelyna Peter Regards. :)
  7. Dear all, I am new to research studies. Currently, i am starting small with this topic" Prevalence of phlebitis among patients with peripheral vascular catheter(PVC) among patients in surgical wards". I am trying to form some sort of a questionaire/observational form for collecting data from the patients.. Any idea? Thank you
