Acute Dialysis - What do you use to carry your supplies?
HI new acute dialysis nurse still in training and hope to be independent by next week. I got my "wands," hose to install on the sink, & wrench and place them in a plastic bag. Is there another way to carry these supplies then using a plastic bag? It is already getting dirty and having holes that my stuff will fall out.

LAC+USC interview new grad RN
Hey I'm glad you got an offer and a start date on July 1st (that's when I start my new job hehe not for county though) I still get calls from the nursing recruiters about interviews and I keep rejected them but at the same time I want to keep my name on the list just for future references. Idk if I should still be doing that or just let it go and apply AGAIN when my one year is done?

LAC+USC interview new grad RN
Just got a call from a nurse recuriter from LAC+USC for a pysch & m/s positions on May 10th. A little bit nervous cause the recuriter is asking for performance evaluations with evidence of attendance written on for ALL my school clinicals. There were some clinicals that i did show up late and one clinical that i had a family emergency and did not show up that day but when it was time to go back to clinicals, i forgot to call my instructor early that i would be late and i got yelled and written up for that particular incident. Does the performance evaluations with my history of attendance going to hurt me in any way doing my interview process and what kind of questions would they mostly ask in a psych & m/s interview so i can kinda prepare for?

Even if you make the alternate position chances are big in getting in that session. I was number 8 in the alternate position and my rep said "anyone on the alternate position always gets in" So I waited until orientation for my rep to say, "ok you're in" so don't worry if you're an alternate CONGRATS haha

Kaplan college in San Diego RN program
hi Jime86 since you are finish with pre-reqs, i think your 1st semester you'll be in fundamentals of nursing or for short "fundes" and also a clinical which probably will take 8-10 hr 1 day a wk plus you have lab which is probably right after your fundes theory class. So i think you should be ok working until your 2nd semester (that semester is one of the toughest before the last one) but dont worry about it till it gets there. On your post it didnt mention you finished math (college algebra) so if you havent done that, then they will add that class too. If you have any questions please let me know Fliptobenurse RN Kaplan grad May 2012
