  1. Mediastinoscopy. I don't no why I have problems with this word!
  2. I am in the OR, love it and it is my dream specialty. Got in after I graduated nursing school and I have no regrets.
  3. I do mostly thoracic, some general and bits of cardiac, vascular and ortho spine. Thoracic is the service I started in and I love it the most. I scrub and circulate. Still have more services to learn because I take general call I also need to be well rounded.
  4. I was not a big fan of any of my clinical rotations by when I was able to observe in the OR for the first time I was hooked. Every opportunity in nursing school to observe in the OR I took. Unfortunately my school did not have an OR rotation, but after I graduated I got a job in the OR and I LOVE MY JOB. The operating room is the place for me!
  5. I graduated August 09, took my NCLEX Dec 1, 2009 and start my new job March 15, 2010! I live in Ohio and will work in the OR
