  1. I got in! I've been waiting two years to type that! Just got an email this afternoon!
  2. Sounds good. Thanks for the reply. I will let you know if I hear anything. What's the other forum that you are talking about?
  3. I interviewed in August and was told that we should hear in September in regards to acceptance. I know its early September but has anyone heard if they are in or not? Just curious and the waiting is killing me.
  4. I had the same issue when I logged on to my nest steps. Just call your counselor that you work with and they will set up an appt. with you to come in and take care of everything. It has to be done in person as well as a $150 fee, background check, enrollment agreement and code of conduct form. I hope that helps, Tim
  5. I don't know what the average is but I got in with a 2.76 and that included a C in Chemistry back during my first bachelors in 1997. Get A's in Anatomy and Physiology as I think that helped me a lot.
  6. I just wanted to chime in as another Chamberlain student for July. I had a GPA of just 2.76. Part of that was taking some pre-reqs like Anatomy and Physiology and I got A's in both of those. I scored a 94 on HESI exam as well. My main concern now is getting financial aid. If I can't get a student loan, I won't be going so I am waiting to hear back from the financial aid department. I hope that it all works out and I will be in the July class with some of you (I hope I'm not the only guy). A little over two years and I will have a BSN!
  7. Thank you for the reply. That did answer a lot of my questions. In my head, I was thinking I would join the reserves and work one weekend a month and 2 weeks a year and then go back to school for my CRNA schooling. In reality, it seems more like I will be deployed and work overseas for up to a year. I guess that is what I was looking for is what I can expect. I know that nothing is written in stone but it seems almost everyone gets deployed and maybe not the best idea with a new wife at home. I respect all of those that go this route buy maybe it's not for me! Thanks again,
  8. Hello, I have been doing some searching on this forum for some answers and still have some questions that I can't find answers to. I will be entering school this summer into a two year BSN program. I already have a bachelors degree in another field but am going back for my second to start a new life as a nurse. My long term goal is to become a CRNA but one step at a time. I will be taking out student loans to pay for this degree and have been thinking about joining the reserves to help pay for the loans. I'm not doing it just for the money, I like the idea of serving for my country and learning in a different environment. I have some questions about what it's like being a nurse in the reserves and what I can expect. I would love to talk to people who are in either the Air Force or Navy Reserves as a nurse over email. I appreciate any help that I can get and look forward to hearing back from those with experience. Regards, Tim Kuypers
