Dave, All of your posts are very helpful, I was just accepted into Galen's LVN-RN bridge in San Antonio, can you tell me a little about your experience? Was it really initially only 3 days week, then 4? I am assuming by now you have comleted and passed your Boards, how did that go? Any trouble finding a job due to not having the BSN? Any advice? Does Western now offer some of the Pre req's for the LVN-RN Bridge program? If so, how can I get info, my rep hasn't called me back.. we are trying to decide if we are going to stay in CA or move out because CA just seems to difficult for anything.

Do local Hospitals hire LVN's? I am in CA thinking about relocating to Texas..maybe San Antonio, there seems to be a lot of Medical facilities in this area..

Wow, congratulations on getting your RN 5/12/10! what is the salary for LVN's and RN's in Texas??

I take my test 5/15 in Texas, so we will see how it goes, I continue to study the CD with the pre tests, should I focus more on the content in each chapter?

Hi there, thanks so much for responding! Wow, that sucks! I COMPLETELY agree with you with regard to the difficulty of the exam! This study book and pre tests and CRAZY hard and I highly doubt I will pass and get in! The school I am trying to get into: Galen.. just started it as well, I think the reason they chose this difficult test is just like you said.. to make sure they will achieve HIGH stats on the NCLEX.. but this test is ridiculous! It wouldn't be so bad if the test was based on Nursing process and things of that sort.. like the NCLEX-PN, but this is just horrible! I hope your school bans the test! I hope mine does too! :) In the meantime I am studying like a crazy person, working full time as an LVN and raising 2 great kids.. I hope I pass, but if not.. I'll either re take it in 60 days (that is what my school offers) or try a different school. Good Luck and I hope they ban the test and accept you in..:)

Jenniferasch.. did you take the PAX for Galen and get it? Which Galen? Sduncan86.. did you take it? I am going to take it and I am studying this book like.. there is no way I think I will pass it is HARD!
