  1. This happened to me before. I reluctantly agreed as I'm not one for confrontation. When they called to ask about the candidate, they did not ask for my opinion or anything like that. It was strictly like "did they work here from this time frame to this time frame" questions that I could answer honestly and not have to say they were amazing when they weren't. I hope that helps. I guess you could also give your number and just never actually speak to the person calling to ask....LOL
  2. I totally agree. I'm guessing maybe you are in Ohio? It's the same for me. Getting your LPN is not a bad thing! You can get a lot of experience while working and you CAN go back to school. There are many online LPN to RN programs out there.
  3. Doing LTC when you first graduate as an LPN is a rite of passage. I don't want to be an OB nurse but I still had to take the class type thing. Where I'm from you can barely get an interview for any place if you don't have any experience so unless you know someone you're not getting into anything else until you have that experience. You might find something about it you like. I don't want to work in a nursing home the rest of my life but I know it is something I have to do right now to get to where I want to be. You could try to find something else but I wouldn't get too excited. Good luck though.
  4. If you love nursing that much you should try to find an area in nursing that is right for you while you are still getting experience. There are soooo many different things you can do in nursing. I would renew your license if thats what you really want to do and maybe try to look at what you made mistakes on and do your best to do better next time. All you can do is your best! I would def go to a LTC facility. It is a lot less pressure for a new nurse.
  5. Sorry! I just saw this post. I did well. I got a 90 in math. I would say the reading section is the hardest b/c they have very similar answers to choose from. I don't have a pdf of the study guide. SORRY.
  6. You should def do it! I am currently a caregiver for MR/DD residents at a facility and I LOVE it. I think it can really help you determine if this is something that you really enjoy. We have nursing students come in all the time to help with our residents so their school must think its good experience also. Good luck you ya in any case!
  7. Do I need to know all of my conversions for the test? I am taking the entrance exam Friday March 5th. I didn't know if they would give me charts to do conversions like ounces and milliliters or do I need to have all of that memorized? I do have the evolve study guide and I have been doing the practice tests and sample questions. Please help me! I'm sooo scared I'm gonna bomb this test
