It was my recruiter who called this am! I don't have specifics...I'm working today and tomorrow so I probably won't know until Thursday.

I got a call this am, I am selected after all!!

Anyone apply to the January board for the Health Professional Scholarship

My recruiter was at the board today. He said there were five applicants and two available scholarships. Not the stats I wanted to hear...gulp! Good luck and best wishes!

I'm applying for an advanced practice position in the Air Force and was told I needed a DNP just to apply. Also, the AFI regarding the program I am applying to states DNP prepared by 2018.

My recruiter said about 70 applicants will meet this board for the HPSP Program and OR nurses. I'm not sure about rolling it over...sounds feasible though probably good for one year.

So I meet with my recruiter and he said there are five CNM scholarships available this board....he didn't really say how may applicants. You have any insight from your recruiter?

Thank you! I am cautiously optimist until I hear from the AF. I'm happy to have found someone going through the same process. Here's hoping at the end of January we will both be accepted and sharing stories about the program. Good luck

Me too! Plus I have a scholarship I'm applying for as well that is pending this acceptance letter...I am currently eating lots of chocolate! I will let you know if I hear anything...please do the same!

We do 3 couplets at my facility as the norm. We are a small rural community where the RNs are all labor, postpartum, Preop, circulate, PACU, some scrub, and are transitional and well newborn nursery trained! Our hospital doesn't have a NICU so we fly our sick moms/babies out. AWHONN has staffing guidelines you can download that might point you in the right direction.

I just took a statistics class through my local community college that transferred to my BSN program. Cost less and was a smaller class size.

Hi JessicaDanielle! I applied as you know and am anxiously awaiting as well! I emailed admissions recently and was told they hope to have notifications out prior to 1 January. I hope that's true! Let me know if you hear anything different.

Babylove2013, What FNU class did you apply to for your DNP 133 or 134. Where you accepted? I just applied to the FNU DNP class 134...anxiously awaiting if I was accepted!

kgg6, I'm applying for the AF HPSP program as a midwife as well. Actually started last October and was ready to submit this past August but was told all applications were on hold until after October 1st. Then when October came around I was told I had to apply to a DNP program versus the MSN program I was already accepted into. Where are you going to school? I've applied to class 134 at Frontier Nursing University and am waiting for my acceptance letter...hopefully!
