  12. Hi Friends, I am a Canadian RPN and my long term plan is to move to states (texas). I was searching for a job couple of days ago and had replied to an add R/T work in states (they hire canadian nurse and give them opportunity to work in states). Now, I am exchanging emails with this lady and she is saying that she will be my recruiter in Canada if I decide to apply for a nursing position within the form, but she refused to meet me. Her explanation was : ''In order to keep your salaries high and less expenses..we handle it via email, phone calls.'' She said that there are many positions to choose from..Once I will be accepted into the company, the company will send me a package with step by step instrcutions, they will call also call me, but she (the lady) will be here as well in Canada, as my liason, for clarification as well, if I need. She mentioned that its an easy process and she had travelled with this company for many years. Following are things that I have to do: wrote licencing exam, which will be reimbursed by the company. Once I are ready to take a position, I will be intereviewd by phone..by the nursing manager. If the manager of this position feel I will make the perfect fit, she will send me the paperwork to hire me for the contract term..13 to 26 weeks. Anybody has an idea R/T tis kind of job. But I excited but scared as well..........honestly, I do not want to fall into a trap.................so wondering if anybody has experience with this kind of contracts and jobs. Thanks in advance................desperately waiting for your replies.............PLease and thank you. Rinks

Hi everyone, I am in a situation and need help to make my mind. I am a Registered Practical Nurse (LVN) from Ontario, Canada and planning to move to Texas to my brother. I have filled all the forms for Texas board of Nursing and hopefully within 4-5 months I will get green chit :) to write an exam. However, I also got an acceptance letter from my college, here in Canada (where i did my RPN program) for RPN to RN program. I was thinking to take admission in this program and within 4 months, I will complete first semester and use the course credits for my further studies in States, I mean for LVN to RN program in Texas. Following are the courses, I am going to take in this program: Ethics and Moral Theory with 3 credits, Pathophysiology 4 credits, Patient assessment 4 credits. My Question: Should I take admission in this program (last day to pay fees is today 5 Jan, 2012) or just move to Texas to my brother after 4-5 months ? Colleges in Taxas will accept these course credits for LVN to RN program? (I know I have to check with colleges but any ideas?) Which college has LVN to RN program in Texas? Please reply ASAP.......I am in Dilemma Thanks in advance,
