Hey Horseygirl2rn, I am totally in the same boat! i have applied nursing programs at the CC in VA, to hear I don't qualify. I looked at Everest today and Stratford. Is there a big difference between the two schools? They told me about the HESI exam, was that hard? Have you taken TEAS, was it like that? I have to go to the information session on the 12th of May. What kind of GPA are they looking for? Any info would be greatly appreciated!!! Best of luck to you! donna

HI Jennifer, I haven't heard of the STEP up exam. I have taken TEAS and the format for that is completely different. I would get theTEAS study guide and do some of the practice tests. How did you do on the STEP assesment? I am trying to figure out if my score was any good:rolleyes: good luck email me if you have any other TEAS questions.

Hey Jennnifer, I think I did ok on the STep test. it seems as thought the average is 66.4 nationwide. i got 79.3:, so i have no idea how that score is, my school has never done the step test before so they don't have anything to base score on except the national average. How did you do? Does your school have a minimum score they are looking for? Don't worry,from what i understand they use this test just to get an idea of areas of weakness for students, not neccessarily a determining factor of acceptance. When do you apply to your program? Hey Marie, Thanks for the quick response! Congrats on getting through your first year of nursing school. I am currently an LPN and I had just applied to the NVCC LPn to RN and did not get accepted. There are only a few spots for that program and now I wish I had applied to more places. Do you know if LFCC has a Spring class starting? or do there classes start each fall? I do have to take the ENG 112 and Drug calculations so I can get those done. Thanks again for the info and enjoy your summer break!!
