  1. I think it's suicide. Taking a & p alone is enough to deal with. Microbiology is intense too. They both have labs and it would be your entire life until finals. Its a lot to learn, memorize and actually remember because you have to know this stuff for school and to be a nurse. You dont want to cram both courses in one semester because you might not retain all that information at once. You will be quicker to forget, I think. But if you ONLY take those two classes, and have all the time in the world to do nothing but study study study.... then more power to ya. Good luck! I took micro all by itself one semester and it was still a lot for me.
  2. What campus did u get in to? I wanted fauquier, but got accepted to middletown. I'll take it though.:)
  3. Hello Everyone, I just wanted to let you all know that I received my acceptance letter today to the ADN program. I do NOT live in any of the special counties, so that should be some encouragement for you if that's what you were worried about. I have completed ALL of the classes in the nursing program already except for the NUR classes themselves. I dont have a 4.0, more like a 3.6 (i think??) and I did pretty good on my TEAS test. Just letting you all know what I had so you can work on it and apply again next year. good luck to all of you!
  4. I didn't get a letter today. I wonder if they send them out in sections or something. I'm sorry you two didn't get in. I really hope that I get my letter tomorrow then. I do not live in fauquier county or any of the "special" ones, but I will let you guys know if I get it. I hope my delayed letter is a good sign. Anyone else not get a letter?
  5. Hey everyone, I called the school last week to find out when they were sending out the letters. The person I spoke with said they were working on them and should have them out the first week in May! im so nervous!!! I'll post as soon as I hear something :-)
  6. lisacalandra2-- How did you do on your teas test? How many of the classes in the nursing program do you already have completed? I have all of them done except for the NUR classes, which i cant take unless in a program. So I hope that I have a good chance of getting in since i have so many classes completed already. But you never know. I did pretty good on my teas test too. ranging from 80-92% on each section. I hope that's good enough!
  7. Anyone applying to the lfcc adn or lpn program? I'm turning in my application tomorrow. Just wanted to see if anyone else was in the same boat.
  8. i checked my mail and didnt get anything. anyone else not get their letter yet?
  9. that makes me feel a little better... since i do not have the link either. Good luck to you all :-)
  10. anyone check their mail yet today? i havent, but just wondering if you did, and if you got anything.
  11. yea.. i dont even have those tabs. i just have nova and help tabs. I did not take any of my courses at nova, i took them at another school. soo... maybe that has something to do with it? im just being optimistic now. Congratz.
  12. i do not see a "learn" tab. When you log in to my nova, you clicked on blackboard? what tab after that? where at on the page?
  13. where is the organizations tab??? in blackboard?
  14. i am wondering how many they are accepting. I have heard different things. For their summer online hybrid, they only accepted 17 out of 90 applicants. I was told via email from the nursing department... "Traditional is a lot easier to get into since they take approximately 144 applicants each year. I don’t know what the average GPA was but perhaps Mrs. Vito could tell you." I am hoping i get in. i am checking my mail box like a crazy person!!!
  15. yes... i am waiting also. GL to you! hope we all get in!
