  7. I'm gonna continue to push harder and try my best to get in a Nursing program hopefully no later then June 2011.
  8. Thanks for the replies @dee78 I attended a LPN program in Louisiana.
  9. I'm also trying to get info on this program from the looks of what's on there website it seems like it's gonna be hard
  10. Then program that I was attending you would either have to wait until the next year class start and pick up where you lefted off.But for me that was too long so I applied at Technical colleges and they are giving me a headache because the program I was attending was 12 mths and theres is 16-18 mths so the hours are different so they want accept some of my classes because we spent less hours in some classes
  11. I started a LPN program in Jan 2010 I was so happy! The cost of the program was $12,000 it was a 12 mth program. There was a class of 40 students it was at a University.I started off great passing every class I took I also was in advanced standing for two classes.I made A's and B's throughout we lost four students through personal reasons and some failed out we also gained students from previous classes. The program consisted of doing projects and volunteer work for two hours at different places. Some of the instructors were careless and there was a lot of favoritism and racism in the program. When we started Med-Surg I it started to get a little harder they had to throw one test out and do another one because everyone failed it but I prayed and I had a very supportitive family behind me to pray also.I passed the class and went on to Pedi/oB and then we started Med-Surg II it started off hard from the start the test were so hard I studied I even took off from work to devot my time to studying and I still did bad on the first tests iI felt like everything was against me.I had a boyfriend was so dirty and abusive he would take my keys and he made me miss clinicals one day which I got a zero because of him.The day before my final he got put in jail and called me to bail him out I was studying for my final me and his mom went to bail him out and we didn't get home til 2 am knowing I needed to study for my final I continued to study I went to bed around 5 am and I had school at 8 am I got up early around 6:30 to study some more before I took my test.I took my test and there were 100 questions the test had 104 slots which I would've preferred there to be 104 questions to increase my chance of getting a 94 to pass the class after the test I felt that i didnt do good enough on it.Later on that day I got my grade I made a 90 and the project we had to do that the students graded me on I got a 94% out of a 100% I had everything that was on the grading sheet.I had a 81% overall in the class and you have to have a 82% to pass.I was hurt I wasn't gonna let them see me cry so I waited til I lefted the office.Seven of us failed MEd-Surg II we had a pharm II test the next day and it had 104 questions on it mostly everybody was passing in that class and they gave us more questions but Med-Surg II they only gave us 100 when majority were failing.I hate the fact that I had one class lefted then I would've have been graduating this month.I'm trying my best to get in somewhere else but the Technical colleges go by hours so even if you passed a class if your hours are not what the require you will have to retake that class which I think isn't right. Also they have a waiting list.I will continue on until I become a nurse I have been a CNA for four years and being a nurse is my dream.
  12. I too had problems with both Med-SurgI and II and thank God I made it through Med-Surg I but the devil tried his best to mess me up in Med-Surg II I made a 90 on my final and I ended up with a 81% in the class and you have to have a 82% to pass the class. I was devasted I only had one class lefted til graduating.During my Med-Surg I and II the instructor included a project with each class that was worth 10% and in Med-Surg II the class graded you on it and to have somebody else besides the teacher graded me on something thats that important was very hurtful.
