  1. i know i may be too late with this post because you may have already started the evening nursing program.....drexel and harcum are 2 different programs........first let me start by saying yes drexel makes you past the hesi before being able to take the nclex, but you can take the hesi as many times as you want.....harcums new policy states if you fail the exit exam twice you are asked to take an alternative degree, which means if you dont get a 72% on the exit exam on your second try, you can not take the nclex. so how do you become a rn? you have to go to nursing school all over again, and pay all over again. so i can only imagine the look on a persons face who takes the exit exam for the second time and gets a 70%....although according to ati if you get a 70 on the exit exam you have an 88% chance of passing the nclex.....good luck.
  2. The program Hmmmm........Did we lose anybody? Yes we started with close to 80 people in nursing 101, we lost about 22 people just from that class alone. The first 6 weeks (nursing 101) is really crazy. Advice....let me be honest here, if you have never worked in a hospital or with Patients this may not/is not the program for you. Clinicals, well........Hospitals, yes you get to pick your hospital, there is like a choice of 5
  3. I am a current student in the harcum evening program, I remember being in this same postion. Time will go by fast.
  4. I am a current student in harcum evening nursing program, and I remember being in this same position last year, preparing myself for orientation
  5. anybody heard anything about the books?I was thinking it may be smart to just buy it now.
  6. So I am trying to study for the med terminology test, and this little booklet has 45 pages.....I am trying to figure out what I should be studying, there is no way I can memorize 45 pages in 30 days.
  7. I haven't heard anything. I was starting to wonder, since there is a test the second day on chapters 1-2-3-4
  8. Is it a transfer fair or orientation? Cause I haven't gotten anything yet about orientation.
  9. Wow I got accepted into Harcum and was over joyed. But I too wondered why the program starts in 2 months and I haven't heard anything from them. I also got accepted into Abington, but I choose Harcum because there program is M,W,T and you receive a degree at the end. The part that bothers me is that I wanted to know where Harcum does there clinicals. Would be nice if they sent some information out.
  10. I feel bad as I hoped and preyed to get into to abington and now I am going to decline there acceptance offer. But I guess there is an up side, I got accepted into another school, and somebody who is on the waiting list for abington will get in...
  11. Holy smookes got my letter today...I have been accepted in the nights and weekends class!!!!!
  12. I don't know if everybody gets an interview, because I submitted my application on 12/28/09 and I submitted my completed completed transcripts on 1/15/2010, and I have not been called for an interview yet. I noticed somebody posted that they submitted their app on 1/14 and already has an interview. So that makes me wonder. I would be a little upset if I don't atleast get an interview.
